This is an awesome breakfast spot! It is always hard to find a good breakfast place. This restaurant is a lot bigger than we originally thought. It has a great breakfast area and a bar, so you can get Bloody Mary’s with your meal if you want. The food and service were spectacular. I especially enjoyed Genies special home fry potatoes, and my husband liked the sausage biscuits and gravy - he said they needed to smother the biscuits in more gravy, though. The food was priced fairly, too. Will definitely eat there again next time we visit Portland!

Lovely brunch. The special reuben Benedict was an unexpected delight. Despite an event next door we were seated within 15 min at 1230 on a

I got a breakfast sandwich, pancake, and London fog. Everything was super delish. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I asked for no sweetener in the London fog and honey on the side for it. They put sweetener in the London fog so I didn’t need the honey (which I would have preferred), and was charged extra for it.

Was excited to try this place but unfortunately it did not hit the mark. The bloody mary was mediocre. The eggs benedict had a slice of ham on it that was so dry and flavorless that I imagine it must’ve been very old meat. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because the waitress was attentive and kind.

On a whim, we decided to try this restaurant. My tummy was totally thrilled! While we both enjoyed fabulous cappuccinos, hubby opted for traditional eggs/sausage while I ordered the chicken fried steak. Best chicken fried steak I have ever had. Very slim breading on a delicious, medium rare steak. I was in heaven. Service was quick and friendly, atmosphere bright and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I've come here a couple of times now with my very picky toddler && she has DEVOURED Genie's breakfast! Not just the sweet French toast and the pancakes (although she gave them both 2 thumbs up), but the house potatoes with veggies and the eggs- it's truly a miracle! The food here is well prepared, and Carley and Kaelyn are personable and kind!
