Emily makes a strong pie...
Just okay food. Great drinks. Live music on Saturday evening!
Lovely atmosphere and food
Stopped in for a quick bite
The drinks didn't have much alcohol in it was disappointed and they didn't have their famous s'mores.
Great food, great ambience, friendly employees, and live music--a wonderfut place all around!
Sorry, I hate giving bad reviews for local places. I've given Girasole several tries over the years, and it has mostly disappointed. The last time was the final straw. Family was in town and we needed a family friendly place (darn, should have gone to food carts). Read on their website that they had a play area, but evidently that's gone. We were literally the only customers there but our server was slow and rather rude and uninterested. As a former server I know we all have bad days, but we were your only customers, it wasn't cool feeling like a nuisance to your solitude. Food isn't very exciting, nothing to write home about. While i appreciate The live music, its often too loud for a sit down restaurant. The decor and ambience is cute tho.
The Compost Soup is amazing! It's the best thing on the menu! So, why has it been removed from the menu? IMO the prices are pretty high for St Johns and their hours are strange. I revisit periodically because my hopes are high that the menu will settle down and the will hit their stride.
Came in for a beer and pizza, but after seeing the prices, we left after just the beers. Service was pretty meh, and we were the only customers. I appreciate that they utilize local grown meat and cheese in their pizza, but $18+ for a 13" pizza is a little too rich for my taste. And $19 for a Caesar salad made me choke. Suggestion, bring the prices closer in line to Ken's Artisan and they might have people filling those empty tables.
Wait staff has a lot to learn about dealing with large groups and children. if you are a small group <4 i am sure you will have a fine time. If not or if you have children 13 and under, this is a bad fit for you. Try the Signal Station Pizza instead they are super kid friendly!

Our band played here the other evening for the first time and have to say we were really impressed with the place. The staff was super busy but still friendly and accommodating. They have a rustic homemade vibe going that fits St. Johns well and the pizzas and pretzel we had were done well in their wood fired oven. Only thing unfortunate was the crowd drank all the beer except for one tap by the end of the night!
Quite tasty Caesar salad (especially if you don't like your caesar dressing being fishy).
Love coming here. Favorite place in St Johns to grab a couple drinks and a pizza. Always get great service and conversation with the staff. The music on Fridays is always pleasent to really good! Never had a bad experience.
Our first time dining here. We were pleasantly surprised with the welcoming atmosphere and the live music (it was a friday night). The staff was great and everyone was having a good time. The pizza was very good - we especially enjoyed the fresh basil on top
Girasole is my favorite place to go to in St. John's on a Friday or Saturday night. It's such a cozy warm environment and their live jazz is not to be missed. The staff is always smiling and honestly friendly
