This is a local staple you can't miss out on. Best Reuben around, hands down. Several other amazing options to choose from. Everyone in the family can get something they love here.

Pleasantly surprised to find this bar had well above average Reuben sandwiches. I’m a critic of sandwiches in Portland and would rate this a 7.8/10 Reuben. The potato salad as a side was very good and the carrots and pickle were excellent as well.

Came in and asked to get a Reuben to go. Jeannie was very terse when I asked if there was celery in the potato salad. “I don’t know? There might be? We make it here,” she said.
“Okay…I’ll have chips then? Because I can’t have celery,” I said.
After waiting THIRTY MINUTES for a Reuben (it wasn’t crazy busy either), I asked “hey, how much longer?” This rude woman says “I don’t know, man? It’ll be done when it’s done. You’ll have to wait.”
Ummmm. Okay Jeannie. Also, thanks for giving me the potato salad I AM ALLERGIC TO.

Old school restaurant, been around for a spell. This is the place to go for a Ruben. We had the Ruben with their veggy patty. It was great. It was enough for 2 meals. Great atmosphere with seating all the way around the exterior. Huge patio that gets busy, especially during games days.
Vegetarian options: Veggy Ruben was great.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get around. Lots of space.

What a delightful neighborhood pub! The Reuben, which they are known for, was awesome, and it just had a great local vibe. If you want to experience amazing bit of Portland, definitely check it out.

Loud outside, but expected.
Service was horrible & server was not interested in serving us. When he did, after asking about one of the food items, he popously gave me a sarcastic answer & walked away never to be seen again after gter placing order. He was too busy with the otherbtwo customersnun his section.
Food came, TERRIBLE & COLD. Tried to get his attention with no luck. Went inside & explained, they took it off bill & apologized. That's why I give it one star. The only redeeming thing about it.
We watched as the server continued to watch TV & talk with other employees. And you expect a tip I presume!
Don't owners go in to check o their businesses? This is running rampit in PDX.

The Reubens were delicious, but the highlight was definitely the chocolate chip cookie. It may be the best cookie I've ever had from a restaurant!
I decided to take my daughter out for a daddy daughter date. This was one of my favorite spots for a classic Rueben. Bad mistake. Upon entering there was a homeless person being hauled off in an ambulance (big scene) but out of the restaurant’s control to be fair. Still not a great intro. We ended up waiting almost an hour for a grilled cheese and a Rueben. My daughter was very hungry before we got there and I felt so bad that I had convinced her and almost my entire family to eat there. Apparently the restaurant had people there upon our arrival and that was the excuse I received for why the food came out so late. I’m not looking for excuses when I finally go out to eat. I can get that at home/work. I was expecting at least a beer or something comped as a gesture of good will and although the owner/manager did offer a drink for both my daughter and I, my beer was almost full and I was driving so didn’t want to order another but was expecting it would be taken off the bill at the very least. All they offered was an apple juice. Then I asked to speak with a manager and the waiter said he was the manager and gave me a really bad attitude and asked if I was refusing to pay. Overall really bad experience for my daughter and I who don’t usually get to go out together but finally did and get an episode of grays anatomy with really poor service filled with excuses. Seems like if you are not a regular than you are not treated very well as the table next to us received their food within 3 minutes after ours and arrived 30 minutes after us, but they had soup was the other excuse… Too many excuses for one evening. What was once my favorite spot is no longer. Goodbye Goose Hollow Inn…They wonder why people don’t go out to eat anymore, high prices and poor service.
