Beautiful classic Portland restaurant. Menu for Sunday brunch was amazing, especially the grill zucchini eggs Benedict!
Elegant old world setting, great light, attentive service, lovely brunch food. The noise level depends on when you're there. We had an 11:30 am reservation. The first 30 mins were quiet and then at noon the noise level increased as all the table filled. You can have order a filling brunch for a relatively modest price if you're strategic (share a main dish and supplement with the add-ons) or go all out with drinks, benedicts, etc. We will definitely go back. TIP: if you're a guest at the hotel, even if you checked out before have your brunch, you can "bill" your room and you get 15% off your meal.
Gracie's has a beautiful, classic space and great option for brunch get togethers or celebrations. However, we were seated and it took about 15 minutes to get water and check in with our table. The server apologized for the mix-up, but then didn't come back to take our order for another 15-20 minutes, so we were all starving by the time we ordered and ate. It's unfortunate, I used to go there a lot for family brunch, but would hesitate again given the not-so-great service experience we just had for a friends Bday brunch. All of our food was lovely once it ultimately came out, so I'll try again, but not soon. My only other beef is the 20% tip was already included, which was a bummer considering the very mediocre service.
Very beautiful hotel. We made a reservation at Gracie's since we were staying on property. At 9:00 a.m., we were only the second table seated, yet we were placed facing the prep area for the waitstaff and the order-entry station, which was the only thing in our line of sight. We could hear all of the staff shift notes, conversations, and corrections, which made the experience far from relaxing. There was approximately two feet of space between the front of our table and another table facing us, which also served as the main walkway for both guests and waitstaff. As a result, guests and staff were constantly passing extremely close to our table. It was visibly uncomfortable for guests navigating the space, and the consistent traffic made the dining experience feel crowded and disruptive. Unfortunately, the food did not feel gourmet and was very basic. The crepes were rubbery and tasted as though the egg batter had sat on a lukewarm grill until it hardened. Perhaps there was a new chef or cook, but I'm not certain. For a $70 breakfast (no juice or cocktails—just house coffee and entrées), I would have expected to leave feeling like I'd had a memorable dining experience with delicious food. Unfortunately, my meal was not palatable.
We have frequently been to Gracie‘s. The food is always consistently good. But the servers and the supervisor are inexperienced. When there is an issue, they're not prepared to handle and think on their feet. At the end of the day they made it right, but it upset people in our party. If a restaurant is shortstaffed, they should let you know when you sit down so that you're aware of the circumstances. Treat us like human beings and there's no animosity back
We have been here a 1/2 dozen times but this will be our last time here for holiday tea, Gracie's has really gone down hill. Server was rude. They don't tell you that you have to pre-arrange vegetarian option and server was basically like there is nothing we can do until we pushed back and they did bring her a nice vegetarian option. Tea choices were tired and ones you can pick up anywhere. Server basically ignored us the entire time we were there. We will not return.
Came for lunch/brunch at a Christmas. The dining room is stunning, food was good and wait staff were attentive and friendly. A great value considering what other hotels charge during the holidays. Also recommend the boutique hotel and the bar if you plan to stay a few days in Portland.
Gracies is such a wonderful place for a holiday brunch! The staff is just stellar, the food is delicious and the ambiance is delightful. Special thanks to the staff for letting us linger over coffee afterwards. This is the place where memories are made.
A dear friends end and I go to Gracie's every Christmas for breakfast! This year, we had the crêpes and they were above perfection! Our server was also amazing, and her service was exceptional!!

Really lovely tea service, and our server was just the right amount of attentiveness, knowledgeable and friendly.

They say they are open till 1, showed up at 12:25 and was told by the hostess that they could not seat us because we were past seating time? It does not say that anywhere. We also waited five minutes for the hostess to show up.

gracie's was once a very high-end restaurant and now it's just gotten really old and out of touch. A lot of things need to be refurbished and or redecorated. Items on their menu were sold out. Our server was great, but the rest of the waiting staff was dressed, sloppy and did not give off the high end quality of service that Gracie‘s once was.
A beautiful room in a great property. The Eggs Benedict is to die for, as is the Sunrise breakfast cocktail. No more expensive than anywhere else in town. The service was off a tad the morning we dined but easily forgivable.
We loved it. It's my wife's favorite place. So we came with friends to celebrate her birthday.
Our server was amazing! She was extremely busy with a full section, but we got all the attention we needed and then some. The food is overpriced, but it's a hotel and that is typically the case. Despite that it was delicious and since we visit Portland often we will definitely be back.
