Do not waste your money. Pasta was terrible. My husband’s s mac n cheese tasted okay, but made him sick later that evening . I asked for a hard fried egg on the carbonara. The egg was runny with yoke dripping in the noodles . I thought that was what made the pasta taste bad however, my daughter said had no egg but her noodles tasted exactly the same like eggy yoke.
The server at the counter was super nice and helpful !

Wow I just had the worst carbonara I have ever had. I’m not sure if the food was old or bad but the meat had a foul taste. I hope I don’t get sick. I gave up after I tried to disguise the flavor with salt pepper and cheese. I was only able to eat an 1/4th of my food.. I’m pretty disappointed.. I have had this dish before and never disliked it.

Great house made pasta options in a fast casual environment. A couple of booths me and my party of 3 were lucky to get everyone demolished their food - super tasty!
We came on a Wed night at 6pm and we able to quickly order with no wait. This place was a quick, casual, high quality dinner option on my weeknight visit.

This quick service style Italian eatery is a good stop for a fast lunch on the go. Food was served pretty quick and I saw more going out the door in to-go bags than staying in the room.
I had the Fusilli ala Vodka which I found surprisingly spicy, though I tend to have a solid tolerance, and could have stayed in the water for another minute. Not bad but feel under by a couple measures.
Admittedly it seemed neat to be tied to the taphouse next door so I might be tempted to give it another go if I'm out.

I absolutely love Grassa. When I first move to Portland, I began searching for familiar flavors that reminded me of home. Grassa is one of the many gems I’ve discovered so far.
Almost every dish I’ve tried has been fresh, favorable, and mouthwateringly good. My favorite dishes the Fusilli alla Vodka and Raditore.
Grassa maintains a calm, inviting atmosphere. My only qualm was seeing a server pour a glasses of water, myself and a friend has drank out of, back into larger pitcher of water for other customers. Despite this one instance, I believe Grassa maintains the ability to serve high quality, delicious food whether you’re dinning in or dinning out.

Came alone and sat the bar. I hadn’t been there before and was pleasantly surprised about the communal seating options as well. Loved the lighting and the plants. Had the pappardelle with truffle and cracked black pepper. My pasta was a little softer than I would’ve liked, but the sauce taste was alright. I quickly mixed it up because there were definitely flakes or salt concentrated at the top. Have to give the kitchen staff props for whipping up handmade pasta in such quick tempo. I’m happy to come and try more things soon.

The location is great for the price you are paying for. It’s a good place to go to.
A little desert selection would be awesome.
The open kitchen is good, has its unique style and I would separate it a bit more from the customer.

As we ate we saw an employee cleaning a table. The man poured the water from the glass back into the carafe and left the carafe on the table for the next customer. We asked who the manager was to find out he was the manager. Isn’t he supposed to set the standard for cleanliness and sanitation?

Airport location - employees suck. I ordered a beer and Mac - waited a half hour for my food …the bone heads at the counter forgot to call my name. No apology no make it right - just an attitude . I paid top dollar for cold microwave style pasta honestly - a robot could make this pasta - empty bag into pan and go. . Don’t fall for the great music - yes it sounds great yet the employees have no idea what they are doing - confused / tuned out - avoid this place . Avoid this dump - go to sizzle pizza - they can deliver quickly w no and

My partner and I order Grassa at least 2 times a week, I normally pick up from Hawthorne and he’s closer to NW 23rd so he prefers them. Last night we chose the Washington st location and it was a total disappointment. My Brussel sprouts takeout container was half as full as normal, the brussel sprouts were undercooked, and the (small amount of) meat in the pasta was about 50% fat and overcooked. My partners Calamari was also lower quality that normal and he complained about the lack of rings. My partner also noted that when he picked the food up, the employees completely ignored him for a couple minutes to finish their conversation.
It’s sad to know the Grassa closest to my apartment sucks. We won’t be going back.

Who TF puts a FRIED egg on carbonara!? Shameful. Should just call it bacon egg and cheese pasta. Like Wendy's but with noodles. Actually, that sounds kinda tight...I'd house that.
Just don't call it carbonara.

Hip, trendy, and casual vibe. You order and pay before being seated. Service was quick and the food was truly good. Sit where you want with booths or communal tables. A bit noisy but not imposing.

One dish tasted old and molded almost through up ,the other dish tasted like a lunch lady made it out of a can, would not recommend

I went for lunch. Rigatoni was good, so was the squash tortellini. Don’t recommend the aglio/olio. The garlic was browned excessively and gave off that acrid, burnt taste. Inedible in my view. Also.. you’re asked to tip for a minimum of service.
