Stopped in recently as I was passing through and had the best experience. Jared was absolutely wonderful and so welcoming. Made me feel right at home, was super knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I’ll go out of my way to come back in just because of him. And also beer.

Great beer if you like hazy ipas or unique sours. Also has nice outdoor seating in a great location.

Beer is always exceptional. Sours are always on point and my favorite. The food is okay and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Disappointed they didn’t have at least one other kid food option, especially since I have a peanut allergy kiddo.

I have been a fan of hazy IPA's for a long time and Great Notion does it the best. There are a lot of poorly made hazy's on the market and you have to be careful which ones you get but anything from Great Notion will exceed your expectations. If you haven't been your missing out!

Great patio and beer selection.

Great beer and friendly service every time. Very family friendly - we bring our stroller and baby and they have high chairs and booster seats in abundance. We got the GR -75 and the Bicycle Day today. Both were delicious.Sandwiches are okay.

Friendly wonderful service and should I talk about beer? Amazing beer - we tried the roach clip, knife hits and the blueberry muffin- all winners smooth great beers. I can’t wait for great nation to open a spot in SE Portland

Gotta say, this place is always a great time. Some of the most fun and interesting beers I've ever gotten to enjoy.Victoria was helping us for the evening, and was so very kind, interactive, and personable. She did an amazing job, and I highly recommend stopping by.

Guess what I did last night? Paid $18 for a 4-pack.

Guess what I won't be doing again? Stepping foot in any Great Notion location.

To Great Notion: people want VALUE; they don't want to feel like they are being fleeced. Value keeps them coming back. Value builds loyalty. Taking every red cent you can from customers doesn't make them leave happy.

My wife and son and I are always looking for places to eat in the area because our son plays tennis twice a week nearby, and we always grab dinner after; so last night, I thought "Let's take a look at the menu at Great Notion (for the future), and I'll grab a six-pack (or four-pack) to go in the meantime."

It was late and we needed to get home so I begrudgingly paid the $18 for the four-pack, but I left saying to myself "Well, at least I know we can cross this place off our list."

Great Notion: we're just one family, but you lost the opportunity to earn our business because you felt the need to charge stratospheric prices for a 4-pack of beer. There's not even a retailer in the middle, for crying out loud! You traded a potential new customer who always dines in the area for $18. That doesn't seem like a smart decision. Again, people want value. Then they come back.

I understand by law bars are required to provide food but please don't insult your customers with semi-inedible food.Do not order the chopped sandwich. They only chop the meat, it gets topped with cheese slices and tomatoes. The dressing gets soaked into the bun, the whole sandwich was beyond dry. Please please please research how to make an item before you put it on your menu. The point is to chop the cheese and tomatoes with the meat, and the dressing. This way you have a sandwich in which every bite has all the ingredients and the dressing adds moisture so you're not just getting a mouth of cubed cold cuts.
