Nice clean bathrooms

The beer was phenomenal as usual! The pizza was just ok. It was pizza toppings on focasia bread. The area was interesting. Definitely a hardcore industrial feel. We came at a good time. It wasn't crazy busy so we were fortunate to stop at the right time!

Always tasty beers

Pizza fries were to die for, and beer flight was on point! I love that you can order at the kiosk at your convenience. Bartenders were super chill.

Best beer in Portland! Such creative and delicious flavors!

Beers named blueberry cheesecake or pink lemonade would normally make me gag, but wow, Great Notion is different.

Legitimately feel spoiled because I don't want any other beer anymore, and theirs is a bit pricey, but worth it imo. Try the "smoothie" beer if they have one available, they're incredible.

20% gratitude is crazy considering the only thing the waitress does is bring the food

Super bummed they closed their kitchen and brought in Pizza Thief, now it's just ANOTHER brewery with pizza. My wife and I absolutely loved the previous menu and we'd specifically go there for the food, usually at least once a month, no more though as I'm dairy free and the options are terrible now (they have a vegan option but it didn't sound appealing at all, who wants Kale on pizza???). We won't be going back any longer as there's many better options for food elsewhere. Getting hard to continue to recommend Great Notion any longer with all the changes they've made over the last couple years.

I had a nice experience here last year. Won a gift card. Spent money. Had fun. But now...

They stopped serving food. Pizza Thief can sort of be ordered thru self-serve kiosks, but the menus do not even approximately equal the ordering screens.
We've shown up with a gift card thinking we're going to eat and drink, and then we find out the card isn't good for food anymore. It's REALLY loud in there. There's a line for the bartender, and I'm having flashbacks to days of yelling at bartenders for drinks.
Long story short, we just left and still have the gift card. Disappointed.

Great Notion was first introduced to me years ago by my peers. Initially, taking the first sip of 'Double Peaches and Cream' smoothie, changed my perspective forever. No longer the days of Rainier, Blue Moon, and similar piss beers such as Coors light.

This location is equipped with all exceptional staff accompanied with great service that I have been introduced to. Out of the Alberta, or the 28th location, I always go with Industrial every time!

I frequent specifically this Great Notion for a few reasons. The staff, The brews, and The Food. The smash burgers, crunch-wraps, and occasional local Vendors, were my favorite all in one experience in all of WA/OR.

Unfortunately, it is with regret, that I am now mentioning they have entirely scrapped the original kitchen menu. I am sure Pizza Thief does a fantastic job as well; Although, it saddens me to now make this my one stop shop solely for Brews/Staff.

I would have loved if the original menu items and flavors were incorporated into the new Pizza Thief Menu as a new beginning, as well as an ode to the renowned original menu items. Before the Kitchen changes...My review would have undoubtedly been a 5 star, but with the Brews solely being the star of the show now, it is a solid 3.

Great beer with a plethora of options. Front patio small, however it’s great for soaking up the sun.
Plenty of parking too!

The beer is good. You can not get a pint of beer here, but you can get a smaller glass at pint pricing. Then the lowest tipping option on a beer is $2 unless you make a custom amount. The food setup has changed and to order self serve style at a line of people waiting their turn for the laptop. I won’t be back and suggest traditional restaurant set up for better patron enjoyment. The customer shouldn’t be forced to do the restaurant work. It appears lazy and inconvenient.

If you’re a fan of hazys or creatively flavored and colored beers, this is your place. About 15 beers on the menu, half were hazys. Pretty solid all around. We didn’t try the food. Recommend the tasting menu, choose five, 4oz pours.

The stouts are very unique. When they say it tastes like pretzels, peanut butter cups, marshmallows and chocolate - believe them

Loved the drink they made for us: The Corona Virus its like a bloody Mary with Corona in it. Pretty good.
