Great beer

Great Notion has a fantastic line-up of beers. Period. Didn't count but there had to be at least 25 to choose from. Got flights, very excellent. The variety is really 2nd to none in Portland. I don't care for sours, but even the one I had was solid. The place is a hike or Uber if you don't have a car, but it's pretty big and seemed to be lively.Note: Staff was fine, but seemed like they knew they worked at one of the bigger name places in Portland. The place has lost a bit of it's "release day" popularity from years past, but not a bit of the snobbiness that went with that. Nice folks I am sure, just be a bit more welcoming.

I am disappointed to share my negative experience with this place (yet again). Despite their leap day special promotion of buying 4 packs and receiving a fifth for a penny, I encountered terrible customer service and an arrogant attitude from the staff. Upon picking up my order, they attempted to give me a beer separate from what I had ordered (I ordered four smoothies as that is the only beer I like). When I pointed out the promotion does *not* specify in any manner the fifth pack would/could be different, the staff member informed me that the bonus pack is based on store discretion and may not contain the beer I prefer. Despite showing them the promotion does *not* mention this on my screen, they offered no solution other than a refund. There was no attempt to rectify the situation or offer a substitute on a $100+ order ( I suppose they think they are the best thing since sliced bread and not worry about the horrid experiences). Moreover, their online ordering system complicates matters further. Although I could place an order online, I am required to (conveniently) email customer service to request a refund as the staff on-site were unable to process it.Overall, I am deeply disappointed by this experience and will/cannot recommend this establishment due to their poor customer service, arrogant attitude, and shady promotions. They have lost my trust and future business indefinitely.

Love this place.. but they bake cookies and don’t sell them directly…. this is a form of torture and I believe violates the Geneva Convention.

Really good food for a brewery!

Always a good spot for a brew. They have a huge selection and lots of options for any palette. Staff are always pleasant.

Amazing everytime! Their menu has changed since last time, so we do miss the Mac and Cheese. With that said, everything is incredible and A+ quality. The beer selection is so delicious, always fun to get a flight because it's hard to pick just one.

Great Notion Brewing is a nice spot for some delicious food and drinks. It is a bit off the beaten path, as it's in a warehouse/industrial area. But if you're in the area and looking for a spot to eat, this won't disappoint you. Their fries and burger hit the spot. And they ha e a good selection of local beers.

This was my first visit to this location. Its a really cool spot and I believe where they do the actual brewing. The spot is beautiful. The location is classic industrial. The beer is still amazing. If you like great notion its worth a visit to see where the magic is made. They have food, but I did not try. I would of course recommend.

First time visit! I traveled from a hotel by bus and the GPS is a little weird but finally found it behind other warehouses! Once you're inside, it is absolutely beautiful and bright. I saw there was a food menu but I only drank beer.I sat at the bar and everyone was so nice and super quick to help. You can order full pour, half pour, or five oz tasters.I ordered a flight of five sours. The sours are very good! I also love the flight box. I've never seen an easier way to carry a flight back to your table. In order, I tried Blueberry Muffin, Blueberry Muffin Fruit in the Can, Evil Red, Possessed, Queen of Fruits. My absolute favorite was Blueberry Muffin Fruit in the Can. I'm a big fan of smoothie sours and this one is very thick and flavorful.Overall, absolute great place to visit and can't wait to come back!

Very nice establishment in Portland. Gorgeous burnt wood walls and a seamless ordering experience. Food comes out promptly and the servers were kind!

I have a new favorite beer spot in Portland! It used to be Cascade for sours but Great Notion outshined them. All the beers we had were stellar with blueberry muffin taking the... cake. The food is also excellent - at least the pork belly banh mi. Ordering was easy through the toast app. Big windows and an open space make for a cozy but noisy atmosphere. One of the staff was a Michigan football fan so they had the UofM vs Perdue game on, which was unexpected extra plus points for my partner. We'll be back!

Once again, a fabulous trip to one of my favorite breweries in Portland.Plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. Some TVs for sports. It is kid friendly with kids menu and beverages. Order by QR code which I love, easy and quick and you can always keep the beers coming.!The beers are fantastic and innovative. Constantly rotating and plenty of options. May I recommend a hazy or a smoothie ale.The food is delicious. Plenty of appetizers, salads and entrees. The fried chicken sandwich frequently has variations but always is a go to. Ambiance is that of a typical brewery. Plenty of space for everyone. Thanks for another great evening Great Notion.

If it wasn’t obvious by now, our number 1 pick is the most famous brewery in Portland. Needing no introduction, Great Notion Brewing will be your first stop and also probably your favorite. Their beers range from hazy IPA’s to jammy sours to incredibly rich stouts.Great Notion also offers cleaner beers for the less adventurous beer drinker, but with beers like “Blueberry Muffin”, “Double Stack Imperial Breakfast Stout”, “Big Papaya” and “Jammy Pants”, do you really want to spend time with anything less than something named “Double Fudge Coconut Brownie”?Visit Great Notion – it is the stop in Portland.@beerventurers
