Usually when I go to a place and it's empty I take it as a warning sign. So glad I stayed, I got C7, it had tumeric noodles and there was a dish of mixed herbs to put in the soup that had something other than the usual basil leaves (which was very tasty).SO DELICIOUS.Broth was rich, silky, and well balanced with spices.Would come back again.Music was also lit ?Parking: Saw a sign that said parking in back. Didn't use but it's an option in case street is full.

Good food and clean place make its real comfortable and the food even taste better. I ordered the rice plate the meet was so delious make me want to go for second plates. But I have no more room. I save it for next week. I would refert Hanoi to all families members and friends. Thanks KimParking: They have the huge parking lot in the back testament and another door across to the restaurant beside the front door. Made it so convince and its raining right now. It boggles my mind that Hanoi Kitchen isn’t mentioned in any of the Portland publications or food guides. We have traveled several times to Northern Vietnam and we absolutely love the food in Hanoi. One of my favorite food cities in the world. Hanoi kitchen is really bringing the flavors and freshness of Hanoi to PDX. I have tried a good percentage of the menu over the years and have loved it all.The soups are my favorite. Like HA VL but a wider selection of soups every day.Everything is made fresh to order so service is a little slow but absolutely worth it. For quality and freshness comes patience.A must for any fan of Vietnamese cuisine. She also has a great selection of Vegetarian & Vegan options. Please give some love to this female owned business. My favorite dishes:- love their salad rolls- fish sauce wings- Bun Rieu Cha Ca- Bun Cha Ha Noi Nem Cua Be- Bun Hanoi Dac Biet

This local spacious restaurant deserves more attention and love. The quality of the food and the portion are far ahead of what the other places could offer. Prices are so reasonable and affordable. I love almost everything on their menu but Bun bo Hue and Bun cha Hanoi are hands down my most favorites.

If you want the best Vietnamese in town, branch out from your typical order and ask your server what to get. This place should be packed nightly. Yes, service is a little slow, but how do you bounce back from a pandemic with a full staff when you only have a few tables a night? Reviews that dock stars for this are only hurting small businesses. I traveled extensively in Vietnam and this place is better than most things I ate there. The turmeric noodles are gorgeous and the E8 - Hanoi street food - comes with a pile of fresh herbs and can be several meals worth of food. I also love the C3 soup with crab. Don’t skip the chicken wings! Please please support this restaurant because it might not last. Also, the prices are so reasonable I wouldn’t cringe at paying more. They are really trying to stay open.Dietary restrictions: The abundance of gluten free options is great.

Decided to try this restaurant since Tempe reviews looked decent and I’m in the area often. Came here with my partner, and we ordered their pho Hanoi, bun rieu, salad rolls and a Thai tea. Unfortunately, the salad rolls never made it to the table but that wasn’t an issue. The pho and bun rieu was really good and set at a very reasonable price- I would def come back for it again. Customer service was lackluster but that’s probably bc my server was also preparing our food and also tending to other customers dining-in as an elderly woman (must be the server’s mother) is at the table folding napkins with utensils. If you don’t have any patience- I would not recommend coming here since they’re understaffed (when i went), but the food is definitely worth waiting for.I support mom n pop shops like Hanoi Kitchen. Would love to see this restaurant get more exposure but I feel like they’re very well known in SE PDX.

It's hard to fathom why this place isn't regularly packed. It's an emphasis on Northern Vietnamese cuisine and everything I have tried there has been excellent. In an expensive food town, with noodle soup prices practically doubled since COVID, the prices are regularly at least a couple of bucks cheaper on entrees and again the quality and care of the cooking is top notich. The staff is laid back, but pro. Highly recommended.
