Hapa PDX Ramen & Whiskey

I think the idea of this place is really cool, a ramen shop with Japanese whiskey pairings, however a few minor issues made it a 3 star for me. I thought the vegan ramen (and yes, there’s only one vegan ramen) was okay. The noodles were good but the broth wasn’t interesting enough for me to be head over heels for it. I enjoyed the deep fried tofu but I’m a simple [censored] that loves most preparations of straight tofu. It was also expensive.

Miss their food truck but happy they have a brick and mortar location. Loved the tofu + taro chips as well

I LOVE coming here, amazing food, service, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. Staff were as kind as the food satiated my hunger for Japanese cuisine.
I usually get the Tonkatsu Ramen, the pork cutlets have the perfect balance of fat and meat and flavor. (I am getting cravings just writing this review!) all in all, wonderful place for any sort of dine in experience.

Vegetarian options: Ramen is one of the best foods in general because of its versatility, you can put anything you want into ramen and it will still be amazing, high recommend for vegetarians.

Parking: Small parking lot adjacent to the building, free street parking up and down Gladstone St.

Kid-friendliness: If your kids can handle the rich flavors and warm atmosphere of the establishment, I would highly recommend for all ages.

My partner and I came in late the other night, and they were so rad. Food was perfect, cocktail amazing, employees super friendly. Can't wait to go again - but like not within an hour of closing next time. ? Thanks for being so sweet to us!

The restaurant is very bad in terms of service and especially the lady with short pink hair does not care about the customers in any way and works very reluctantly, so I definitely do not recommend it

I was craving some ramen and this place did not disappoint one bit. The sake was the perfect drink to go with my bowl of ramen. The service was super friendly and the food was fast, inexpensive and tasted great. Definitely a good time at this place.

I went here because it's convenient on my lunch hour. I've had good ramen here in the past but this time I was very disappointed. I got a small portion, mostly noodles and broth, with some onion, bamboo shoots, half an egg and two very small pieces of "pork belly" that literally had no meat on them at all. The flavor of the broth was good but overall, the dish was no comparison to my favorite ramen place that's a bit further away. For the same price, I will stick to my favorite spot in the future. It's worth the drive.
