I heard good things about this Cafe, so I gave it a try. The location and service was friendly and clean. However my experience was awful. I order the lumberjack breakfast, I ask for over medium eggs, they were cold and not even close to over medium. The sausage was under cooked, I requested to cook a bit more, I waited over 20 minutes almost has to go inside the kitchen to retrieve my sausage, my waitress was not available to reach. My coffee was warm instead of hot, My guest had chicken and waffles, chicken were over fried. Pease, hire competent cooks!!

Unfortunately, eating here was the worst experience. My mom and I decided to try this place before going on a road trip. I ordered the burger and my mom ordered pancakes. I was starving by the time we ate so I took a couple huge bites from my burger. Only to then realize the burger was very pink inside. When I brought it up to the waitress, she said the only thing she could do was bring me another patty since I had already eaten part of my burger. I was so disappointed and did not want to transfer my melted cheese and topping from the raw burger onto another patty. We decided if that was all they could offer, it’d be best to eat elsewhere. When we asked for the check another waitress told us, her coworker was in training and handled the situation inappropriately. She then proceeded to offer us a 10% discount on our food because my burger was raw. I didn’t even eat my burger after finding out it was not cooked properly and we still had to pay for it?? The 10% was sad just like the service we experienced.I hope no one else has to experience service like this.

Wife and I tried this place recently for the first time and was pleasantly impressed with the quality and service of the restaurant. We went on a weekend and were able to get a table without a reservation. Granted we arrived 2 hours before closing so that might have helped. Either way, we had a nice meal. We will definitely make another trip here again!

Cute little cafe. Service was great and food came out quick. Perfect spot for a quick brunch.

I visited Harney Street Cafe recently and had a mixed experience. At first, the person who took our order had a friendly demeanor but often had to check the kitchen cooks to answer our questions. The server who brought out the food used the approach of using bare hands to lift the piece of bread covering the dish to check our order was a bit unorthodox. The overcooked egg in the eggs benedict was a disappointment, I would have liked it to be a bit more runny; however, the breakfast potatoes were surprisingly tasty, adding a redeeming factor to the meal. The tres leches waffle texture was good but I was hoping for more of their tres leches sauce. Thankfully, the maple syrup was good and helped elevate the dish.

The food here is still as fabulous as we are! I have yet to have a meal that wasn't amazing at harneys

My son and I recently visited Harney Street Cafe for breakfast with my two-year-old grandson. We were met with rather cold looks from the cafe staff. When I visit a service establishment I am accustomed to being acknowledged kindly, with a pleasant smile, or a hello as opposed to the cold quiet stare we received from the three workers staring at us. It felt as if we had done something wrong by walking in (Harney's was open for another two hours). I grabbed a child seat since none was offered and we sat at the table gestured towards by the waitress. We are very prepared adults. We had a bag of distractions and snacks for our child. He was never loud, overly messy, or obtrusive. Service remained perfunctory and curt throughout our stay. I'm a kid person so I can't imagine not being friendly to a child but whatever. The review: These workers seem irritated or unhappy in general. I don't recommend taking children to Harney Stree Cafe we were not welcomed warmly or at all. Maybe it wasn't the kid? I will never return because who needs that?

Me and another person had the eggs, Benedict, and both eggs were overcooked. But I have to say the other people in our party said their food was good. Will give that place another try.

Super happy to find another great breakfast spot in the neighborhood. Quaint little cafe with lots of covered outside seating and about 8-10 tables inside. Cute decor, not too much! Large windows. Husband got the Lumberjack breakfast, which he enjoyed. I got the eggs Benedict with apple smoked sausage and homemade mustard hollandaise and OMG it was great! The servers were very friendly, and attentive. We will be back!

Tried the salmon benedict. It was amazing, but the breakfast potatoes stole the show! Wonderfully crispy and perfectly seasoned perfection. House made hot sauces were also fantastic. Got to try the hash next time. Keep up the good work :)

A lovely little cafe, with friendly wait staff and delicious food! The Portlandia Sandwich and the Smokewood Bacon Eggs Benedict we're very popular with my family. Highly recommend for a quiet couples brunch on a weekday, or a family lunch on the weekend. Even with a full restaurant, the food came out quick, hot and tasty!

On a whim we decided to try this place based off their yelp score. At first glance, it looks like a cute little cafe, and the service was good. We had high hopes, but were disappointed to say the least. I ordered the classic and my husband ordered the corned beef hash. When my food arrived I immediately took note of the chunks of onion in my sausage patties. For me this is a deal breaker so I requested a side of bacon as well. My husband tried the sausage patty and said texturally it was off. He didn't feel there was much seasoning or flavor to his hash either. Over all I'd say service is decent, but we would not return based off the food.

Great food, fast service, and very friendly and casual place. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was fantastic, and their breakfast potatoes were possibly even better. Will be going back.
