Deeply disappointed. Took my Mom for lunch following her cancer treatment online the place looked nice showed to be open. So we drove 20 minutes out of our way to get to this restaurant. Parking was a nightmare... Once we got inside we were informed the the kitchen was closed and we could get a cold sandwich from the cooler... I can get my mother a cold sandwich from Subway. Needless to say we went to J and R Mexican restaurant excellent customer service excellent food. Made our day!

I have lived here since 1/05/2011. My dad was the long term administrator from 1962 to 1978, now called CEO. He and my mom paid a down payment for me in July 1984 when there was a 10 year waiting list! My move in was on a very rainy day! It has been home ever since and the residents here are fantastic! When you have a chance contact our marketing department for information!!

Very nice atmosphere. Had just a small menu item which was good. The coleslaw wasn't very good. Bland!! Staff pleasant & attentive. Would eat there again

I love the staff. Always so inviting. It's great to sit by the fire and enjoy a good meal. I had the best chicken cacciatore I've ever had the other day. I highly recommend the bakery. The peanut butter cookie and walnut brownie are fabulous!

We have had a few very satisfying dinners here. Prices are very reasonable and the food is above average. The service has been wonderful and the atmosphere is nice.

We have been here for almost 3 months and we love it. We knew we would when we went on the waiting list over a year ago. The pool! The gym! The walking trails! The restaurants! They are all wonderful, as is the staff AND the other residents. Everyone is cheerful and welcoming. Anything we'd want is nearby. It feels like we've moved to a new city (something we've always loved doing), and all the exploring it is so stimulating. We have our own cottage, and although it's a duplex we have our own yard overlooking a community garden. The dog loves it too! Especially walking down to the river where she flirts with the ducks who swim over to her but only just so far. Keeps her interested. Val & Kate

the marketer blankets senior community residents with oversized postcards on a regular basis.

Nothing in particular stands out that would commend this casual eatery to members of the general public. The grill is situated within the retirement community at Rose villa in Milwaukee Oregon. The environment is clean and cafeteria like. The lunch menu is a combination of daily specials with a written card of standbys. There are many choices and combinations to cater for most tastes. Food quality and serving sizes are decent. A 1/3 of a pound burger with a side of your choosing was $11. Specialty sandwich of the day with a side was $12. The burger patty appeared to be a preformed frozen specimen topped with grilled onions and two slices of Bacon on a bed of spinach. The side of Mediterranean potato salad was small and somewhat tired looking and not especially appealing. As a comparison, you could go to the Oswego Grill and for about the same money have a better lunch in a more upscale environment. Perhaps with a somewhat captive audience the restaurant feels that they do not have to be especially competitive with the outside competition. Pity.

The food is very average fair that's has been given a little more of a "gourmet" twist (Sometimes making the food sound pretentious) The dinning area can become cramped when there are many guests and the open kitchen adds exponentially to the restaurants noise pollution. For quality of the food I would say it is average, no item stands out in particular. But what I can say is that the consistency at this place is out the window! Portion size, taste, and quality presentation very HIGHLY on the cook. I have had amazing food cooked consistently by certain cooks and horrible food by others. If I could map out their schedule I would only attend the nights with their star cook. 2 star review because consistency is KEY to any good quality restaurant. And until that changes, patrons are gambling that they came on the right night to receive quality food, or subpar food.

I love Rose Villa, my mom is a resident there. They take such good care of her. Actually such good care that she no longer needs to be on Hospice.

We have been here since mid-November and ,for the most part, I LOVE it here. Residents and employees are friendly and welcoming. There are more things to do than I can possibly participate in. Add to that the business of living in a very vital and interesting city. I admire the long-time residents who have put up with demolition and construction for so long. I think we picked the best possible place to live out our "golden" years and ,as construction winds down over the next months, I expect things to get even better.
