Checked out the Brooklyn Carretas cart pod for the first time for lunch. The proprietor of the Havana Station was very engaging--obviously trying to entice you to order from his cart but not in an annoying way. He sincerely welcomed us back after we had explored the other options and decided we wanted to order Cuban food. I ordered the vegan plate (I'm not vegetarian or vegan but it just sounded good for lunch--black beans and rice, fried ripe plantains, a shredded cabbage salad, etc.) and my companions had the sandwich plantanos (gluten free) with shredded pork. Both were amazingly delicious! I haven't been impressed with a food cart meal in a really long time but this was exceptional!

Best plantains I had from dozens of resteraunts in the Portland area. They just needed lime but perhaps that is not a Cuban way of serving them and just my preference. Can't wait to go back.

Huge portion on the picadillo. Never had before and everything was delicious. Don’t even like olives and I ate them all. The whole vibe is on point.

I think I have a new favorite spot! My partner and I stumbled across this food cart and were blown away. He got the cuban sandwich and I got the paella - both were flavorful and amazing quality. The paella serving was so generous, that we *both* ate the leftovers for dinner!

Food was fantastic with generous portions. The Cubano was the best I've had in the city and the arroz con pollo was fantastic with a lot of deep flavors and great textures. The young lady at the front was kind and informative. Very welcoming and the best Cuban food I've had in Portland. Would definitely recommend to others!

This place is one of my favorites - their cubano sandwich is the best I've ever had and it's HUGE! I also love their salmon plate - so much flavor and good texture. Staff is always so sweet, too.

I'm a new fan of Havana Station. Immediately the flavors took me away to the authentic restaurants I use to eat at in Miami. Thank God we have decent Cuban food now on Portland. My ropa vieja was extremely delicious that I could've eaten 5 pounds of it easy and the sauce it came with was excellent. The maduros were 100% cooked perfectly too. I knew I was on the right spot when other patrons were complimenting the business on its flavors. Going to try a mouth watering cubanito next.

Finally fresh Paella!! I opted for only shrimp & they were very accommodating. The Empanadas with that garlic sauce...can someone say it was the bomb!! ( I'm from NYC & Jamaican...so that means it was very good!! The food at Havana Station was delicious 😋!! Great portions too!!

This place is great! The staff here are super friendly and ready to answer any questions. I visited for lunch recently with a friend from out of town. We were already eyeing up the Cubano sandwich (that is amazing), when were told of a special combo plate of port, chorizo, plantains, and salad. We decided to get both, and split the food. Both meals were amazing. We had to stop and tell the staff how much we enjoyed the meal on our way out.
