Hawaiian Express is best. They have healthy food and generous portions and the owners are very nice people. They have a great selection of beverages and they have the best Sushi Burrito I have ever had.

I really wanted to like this restaurant but unfortunately my husband and I didn't enjoy our meals. The fish was a little off tasting and both of us weren't feeling well the next day, I did get our order as take out so I'm not sure if that had something too do with it. The macaroni salad was good and the edamame was delicious. We also split a portion of the chicken thigh and that was really good too.

Door dash order - The Hawaiian Chicken was fantastic, and the pineapple was as well.
The macaroni salad was bland, the spam musubi was a maybe brick of rice with two thin slices of unfried spam.

Hawaiian Express Saved the day. I forgot to place my catering order for 20 people and most places require 24hr notice. I called as soon as they opened and they helped me pick out the right dishes to feed the 20 people and also made sure I had something for any with dietary restrictions as well. Food was ready in less that 5 hours and packed in easy to carry boxes. Service with a smile. They included everything to make my event a success and took away the stress of my emergency, including serving utensils, plasticware, and plates. The food (Kalua pork, Teriyaki tofu, Shredded chicken, Edamame, White riceX2, Coleslaw, and Mac salad) was delicious and the portions are very generous and justify the price. I fed my group of 20 and also have lunches portioned and frozen for 2 weeks. They will be my go-to for future catering needs in PDX!

A little to sweet for me but still great! And the amount of food you get is just ridiculous!!! But the fact that they don't charge extra for edamame is amazing!

Mediocre, seasoning was lacking, rice was overcooked badly, poke is served with hot rice so it's lukewarm and pretty nasty.

The kalua pork tasted like it was soaked in liquid smoke. The pineapple salad was simply pineapple that tastes like it was sprinkled with jello powder. The loco Moco was pretty good. The macaroni salad was good. The come slaw was good.
I'm not from Portland do buy default will never be back. If I was a local I dont think I'd be back either
