“My son stopped at Bastions this past June 2025 and purchased 2 good sizes of your coffee cake. It was exceptional and so moist. We couldn't put our forks down! We're the ones who purchased a pecan pie from bastions last Christmas and a pumpkin pie last Thanksgiving. Both outstanding! Everything we've tried is excellent including the donuts. It's great to have a wonderful place that bakes without gluten, dairy and cane sugar! Thank you! Theresa“

“Awesome place. Staff could be a bit nicer - they were a bit cold and no smiles, but in general it's a great place to bring your kids or come alone. (Although like someone else mentioned, the setup with the play area being right by the kitchen is a bit odd(.“

“Cool, casual vibe. My party ordered our food to go. Out food was prepared rather quickly. Nice dining room. They had outdoor seating out front along with a back patio. Service was very friendly, and quick. Food was outstanding! Great burritos and.bowls!! Smoothie was so refreshing, mango peach lemon. And their giant chocolate chip sea salt cookie was awesome! I look forward to visiting again and highly recommend!!“

“This place has a great selection of vegan and vegetarian comfort food, as well as gluten free options. The staff is friendly and it has beautiful light. It would nice to have more protein and less carbohydrates. The drinks are overly sweet and it’s hard to find a meal with a decent amount of protein.“

“Very helpful and knowledgeable staff helped a lot with our requirement of a gluten free diet. They made it a very easy and very tasty gluten free dining experience! One of the party has Celiac and they were very aware of the dietary needs and what they needed to do to accomplish that. Would highly recommend and will likely eat there again on our trip.“

“we returned to laughing planet for lunch during the annual belmont st. fair yesterday...we shared a lager, i had the small veggie balck bean burrito and added guac/sour cream, and my partner had the harvest bowl....the food is excellent and the drink hit the spot...the staff is great...we sat outside and had some good r/r....“

“Finally, a location that adds an appropriate amount of cheese!!! I always pay a little extra to add vegan cheese to my tempeh royale on whole wheat burrito at Laughing Planet, often to be confounded by tiny shreds of it hiding deep in the corners within. But this evening, it was abundant and evenly distributed and was so good!! This is my new favorite Laughing Planet! Hope I get the same cook next time!

P.S. The little aquarium is sooo cute! Wish I had been lucid enough to take a longer peep at it. I'll have to come back!

“This is my favorite place to go for a gluten free buritto! It is a very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere -- fresh ingredients and I never get sick from cross contamination. I have celiacs and the food is safe. Just specify your allergies upfront to the staff. Thank you for a consistently safe experience!“
