Heartbeat Café is a true bright spot in the middle of the hospital. The moment you step inside, the friendly smiles and inviting aroma instantly lift your mood. The food is fresh, tasty, and made with care — perfect whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or taking a much-needed break. It’s more than just a café; it’s a little comfort zone when you need it most.

Not worth the hype. Coffee was lukewarm and service felt rushed, even though it wasn’t busy.

Don’t order the pizza. The crust is very bland. It’s terrible. The other food is OK.

So glad they are open late! But I was disappointed they got rid of their refrigerated grab and go items. The food they make to order is ok but not many options. When your stay at the hospital is for several months or if your staff, it's nice to have variety. So if your reading this please bring it back! Thank you

Man I hate leaving bad reviews but this was the worse meal since my visit to a corrections facility, the seasoned jojs were freezer burnt and cooked burnt, there was something off with my wifes turkey in the club sandwich, stay away from the bland tuna melt, Practically the best thing on the menu was the original lays Potato chips and the coca cola in a bottle, sorry do better

We really enjoyed coming here while our daughter was in the NICU at Randall. Great selection of soups and sandwiches, and quite affordable. The mushroom soup was SOOO good!

Ended up here because was looking for an open coffee shop at 6 am and didn't realize it was in a hospital until pulled up. You do have to go through a metal detector to access. Basically a hospital snack store with coffee and I believe espresso as well. Plenty of tables in the atrium. If you need coffee at a weird hour in north Portland, this will certainly do.

Have not eaten much of the food. So far I have tried the chicken burger and jojo's for dinner, and got a whole sandwich made to order for lunch. Was not a huge fan of the chicken burger but that was because I am not a big fan of grilled chicken. I did enjoy the mocha and was even more excited when the large size was not even $4 when it had basically the same taste at a $6-7 Starbucks venti mocha. They did have a decent selection in the cold cases as well but I did not get any of that stuff.
