Went here last night for dinner and it’s hands down now our favorite dumpling restaurant ? the food was AMAZING, we definitely ordered with our stomachs. I will say the pork and cabbage wontons, as well as the crab and pork I think, were our least favorite. The crab one was a bit too fishy. Other than that everything was 10/10. The chili wontons, wonton soup, pork & chive, green beans, cucumber salad are sooo yummy. I’ll definitely go out of my way and drive over an hour to come back here again. The service was fast, and our waiter was super friendly and even helped us pack all our leftovers.

DELICIOUS DUMPLINGS
Their handmade dumplings are something special. XLB is mid here, but pan fried dumplings are exceptional. The soup dumplings don’t have much soup in them and about half the ones served to me had holes in them allowing the soup to leak out. I will stick to their other dumplings from here on out.

Do not waste your time or money here for this rip off price gauging excuse for a restaurant.

Uber.
Chicken Ramen was delicious.
Honey walnut shrimp portion size was a bit small compared to the $20 price tag.

Legit, traditional dumplings ? I’ve been on the hunt for homemade dumplings for a long time in Portland, and am finally glad I can end my search. The family that runs this place is friendly and the food is wonderful. What a great addition to the neighborhood!

Really excellent wontons and veggie dishes here. The portions on the veggie dishes are also extremely generous given their pricing. I ordered way more than I could possibly eat because I expected the servings to be a lot smaller based on their price. Happy mistake for me! I get to have a full lunch of garlic broccoli and cucumber salad tomorrow.

Eating here made me realize the lack of cozy, chill dumpling places in our zip code (until this one showed up, of course). What a lovely and warm little restaurant, highly recommend.

I travel a lot and this is the only place I have ever gone back to two nights in a row. And, there are a lot of choices in the area. I was not disapointed.
The first night I had steamed dumplings. The usual pork and fish which is very rare. The pork ones were better than usual. The fish ones were excellent.
Another review had raved about the Honey Walnut Shrimp dish. The first night was so good I had to go back and try it the second night. I was not disapointed. It is really to rave about. A generous porthing of fairly large shimp fried in a light batter. Add some chuncks of fresh pineapple. Toss the whole things in mayo and pinaple juice. A really neat combination of hot shrimp and cold pineaple. Toss around on top some pieces of honey glaze walnuts for crunch. 5 differnet textures in the same dish, something I have never experieced. All the flavors really complementing each other.
The same revierwer that raved about the Honey Walnut Shrimp also complained about the hard seats. They were right about the bar stools. After the first night sitting on one I was also sore. Never though a bar stool could be so bad. The hard wood benches are typical and much better the second night.

The beef soup was sublime. Exquisite broth, meat flavor and tenderness absolutely perfect and fresh noodles. Simple, yet unforgettable. You can tell there is a serious Chinese chef that values traditional methods.

Wow what a delicious alternative to Din Tai Fung! Their tan tan noodles had a numbing spice kick to it that made it A+. Highly recommend if you’re looking for dumplings or a warm light meal!!!

We liked the chive and pork and basil fish dumplings, we really liked the kung pao chicken dumplings, disappointed in the XLB. Perhaps our mistake was getting take out rather than going inside? Dumplings are just too expensive to only be partially satisfied and it would have been nice if they had included some ponzu with our order.
Delicious meals, well worth the $

The green beans were fantastic, perfect really. And the shumai were delicious. The dumplings were just okay for the price. The service was really friendly. Overall, nice place to stop into if you’re in the neighborhood. I’d definitely come back.
