Seems like this changed hands a while back and has gone down hill.
Orange chicken was top notch, highly suggest.

Our server was in constant motion, and unfailingly gracious as we made our lunch special selections.
Vegetarian options: The dinner menu has a vegetarian section. The lunch special menu does not have categories, but items like " Buddha's Delight" are a safe bet

I have been coming here since 2009 and it’s the ONLY Chinese restaurant I’ll go to. The staff is like a second family, they remember me, my order, ask about my children if they aren’t with me when I pick up. The food is absolutely amazing. I’ve brought numerous friends and family here & everyone is now a return customer even without me. Can’t say enough good about HoHo.

This is my favorite to sit down and eat in Portland! I always get the hot boiled beef, it’s so spicy and delicious. The love I have for this place is unreal. It brings me so much comfort to sit down and have my nutritious, spicy soup with a cold glass of water and a jasmine tea.

We've been ordering now for eight years. This neighborhood restaurant offers wonderful asian cuisine. Some dishes are a bit pricey, but overall most are reasonable. All the old Chinese restaurants such as Hung Far Low, the Pagoda, Chinese Village, and the Republic Cafe have closed their doors long ago. Don't despair though. The orders at the Hoho differ can emulate the taste of those old Chinese restaurants. Their dishes vary quite a bit and range from the traditional Asian-American flavors, to truly authentic Asian fare. It just depends on which menu item you choose. The menu is pretty extensive so be sure to try a lot of different selections. The Hoho is our "go to" Asian Restaurant and we are delighted that they have been open many years now. They definitely do it right!

I asked for chow mien and I got plain noodles that it literally has nothing else with it but grease.

Everything is so delicious and my family and I can't stop going to eat at this restaurant. The service is extraordinary and the owners Joe & Susan are the most friendly and loving people I know.

My wife, son, and I have been to this location probably (not kidding with this statement) about 50 times in the past year. We drive about 30 minutes to get here, but it is worth it every time. The owners Joe and Susan are without a doubt the most generous and caring people, and every time we're there, we can't stop eating. Anything Salt and Pepper is amazing. We have had salt and pepper shrimp, fish, chicken, and tofu, and their all outstanding. My son always gets the orange chicken, and he loves it. To be honest, there has not been one meal we have had that has not been good. Now, we have traveled all over and we often eat out and try new restaurants but this place is A must visit at least once every 2 weeks. We have also gotten family members addicted to it as well. Anyways, make sure and give this place a try if you want amazing service and extraordinary food.

I was visiting from California and wanted to enjoy some good Chinese food. This was below average. Nothing looked fresh and most of the menu is sweetened battered garbage. I won’t be back.

I have lived somewhere where there is *no good chinese* for years. Visited here on a vacation and it was wonderful. So good to finally have Chinese that is better than mediocre. Wish I was staying longer in Portland, I’d go again!
