I noticed that another person left a review about General Taos (sp) saying it was the best they ever had. So, I stopped in and ordered it. Really good, fresh, large portions and they had fresh broccoli as a garnish! I will totally be back! Oh the hot and sour was spot on too!

Best General Tso Chicken in all of Portland. Period. No joke, I’ve spent years wandering all over the Portland area trying to find it. Lo Mein with shrimp was great but I wish they used the thick noodles, these are the smaller more dense ones. Still delicious! Pot Stickers were delicious too. Will be back often.

It feels like dining in the 90s in the best way possible. Clean and homey. The food comes out so fast and is loaded with fresh vegetables. So so good.

Blacks get treated differently than whites when picking up orders. They are pretty obvious about it too. They go from smiling and handing them their order order to the white person, then asking to closely see my phone, verify the name and watch me click accept before they will hand over the order. Not only have they done this once, but another time as well. It’s documented prejudice. They should be ashamed.

I often order Uber Eats from HoHo but today I got to eat in the restaurant and it was very nice! Quiet, cozy lunch of delicious Cashew Chicken and the service was very friendly. I look forward to coming back!

We have been going to HoHo’s for about 25 years. We used to every Friday night but we now live about 25 miles away so we don’t get there as often as we would like. We have not found a Chinese restaurant that compares.

HoHo has become one of our favorite restaurants to visit. The food is always exceptional, the staff is so friendly, and the relaxed atmosphere brings it all together! 10/10 Come visit them!

Me and my friends were seated on the railing near this place, waiting on some drinks from the Matcha place next-door. We weren’t even there for a minute before a woman came out of this restaurant claiming that we were “blocking” her customers from coming in which is completely untrue. Also, we had seen several people might I mention that didn’t look like us sitting there before for long periods of time. However, we decided to be respectful and just move. 10 minutes later a white couple goes and sits in the very spot we were and nobody came out to complain about them.

gnome who usually dines on acorn stew and toasted moss, I must admit HoHo Chinese Restaurant was a magical feast! The portions were so generous, I could’ve filled my hat twice over. The fried rice was fluffy enough to nap on, and the dumplings? Little pockets of joy that reminded me of treasure chests—only tastier.
The staff were kind and quick, even to a traveler of my size (I had to climb the chair, but no complaints there). Warm tea, savory flavors, and a cozy atmosphere—it felt like dining inside a lantern on a winter’s night.
