Love this place. I'm Asian & I appreciate good Chinese food that us ABC (American Born Chinese) loves. A few years ago my cousin from San Antonio Texas was in town & we took her & her husband here and said the food beats the Chinese restaurants in Texas.Yesterday, we celebrated our granddaughter's 18th birthday and she picked Hoho as the place to hold her family bday dinner at. I highly recommend Ho Ho Restaurant! They make dishes like how our late parents & relatives did! đđ
Order the chicken and shrimp friedrice. Got 4 shrimps and pork no chicken. It was fast service tho. Waited total of about 10 min from ordering to getting food.
Went in for a to go order. Placed it right away and it was ready in about 10 minutes. Excellent food and generous portions.
Me and my friends were seated on the railing near this place, waiting on some drinks from the Matcha place next-door. We werenât even there for a minute before a woman came out of this restaurant claiming that we were âblockingâ her customers from coming in which is completely untrue. Also, we had seen several people might I mention that didnât look like us sitting there before for long periods of time. However, we decided to be respectful and just move⊠10 minutes later a white couple goes and sits in the very spot we were and nobody came out to complain about them.
So yeahhh if youâre Black, I donât recommend this place.

My family ordered delivery from them. We ordered 2 vegetable and tofu dishes. Both orders came with 3 or less pieces of tofu. We tried reporting it to Door Dash to no avail and then, called HoHoâs. The lady just apologized and said she canât do anything about it. Horrible business and dinner, sadly.
I ordered takeout from them and they threw peanuts on all my food so I had to throw it all in the trash, even though it wasnât listed as an ingredient.it was about 5 dishes.
Lovely place to get lunch at. Calm atmosphere and kind staff that was quick to serve and check on us. Food was great! My partner had the sweetheart chicken and I had the broccoli beef. Both were delicious. This is the second time eating here and I will be coming back.
Great sesame chicken (not breaded, in lots of sauce) and it had a great kick of spicy!
Placed an online order last night at 9:30pm, store closes at 10PM. Food was not good, shrimp was really smelly and generals chicken was way over sauced and clumped together. We picked up at 9:45pm and they walked out and closed store afterwards.
Honestly just bad food. Crab puffs literally had no crab. Was just cream cheese no exaggeration. The ginger chicken was extremely bland with big hunks of ginger thrown in. Potstickers tasted reheated or something. Very disappointed in the overall quality of food. Beef in lomein was lacking any sort of flavor

Super solid Chinese food. Lo mein is great. Pricey if you are eating alone for dinner. They got almond cookies !
The chicken fried rice was really yummy, and the portions were generous. Unfortunately, I was really let down by the egg drop soup. The standout flavor was flour (cornstarch??)... could use some more egg/salt.
HoHos is my absolute favorite chinese food in Portland. Its fresh and always tastes great. The down side is they ALWAYS overcharge you. The prices on the menu never add up to what you end up paying. It's messed up that you don't get an itemized recipt, just a total that is too high. I've been going here for almost 20 years and I keep going back, I would just appreciate some transparency with their pricing.
The waitress seemed to be annoyed that we were there, not happy to have our business at all.
The egg flower soup was not heated up evenly, obviously microwaved.
I tried the General Tso's chicken, because I like to explore different restaurants' individual takes on it... It had a very nice dark sauce, with not very much citrus kick, and perfectly cooked crispy chicken, although not the freshest tasting.
My date got sweet and sour shrimp, which she thought were good, but the breading was very thick and heavy.
I might end up coming back to give this place another try, and go for something a bit more unique.
Good spot to enjoy Chinese food, the duck was not âgameyâ and was just cooked right. Salt and pepper squid was not doughy , good coating was perfect, will definitely dine in again when we have the chance.
