I love old bars. This one checks all the right boxes for me. Dark inside, pool table, cool outback patio, experienced no nonsense staff. There's a wheel of fortune that you can spin once per visit that will give you a free meal. Great food, cool atmosphere.

This place is awesome. Only in town for a week and we have already been there twice...going back for a 3rd time tonight. I have read other reviews, and frankly, I don't know what some folks are talking about. The bartenders are great...very attentive with lots of great suggestions. BTW, The bartenders confirmed that they open at 12 noon, not 8am.

I almost didn’t come here due to the negative reviews about bad service. I came here right when they opened and it was already busy. The bartender was super attentive and cool. Service was quick and the vibes are awesome! Portland needs to keep all their quirky dive bars!!!

The bartender Ally sucks, many friends have had a bad time solely because of her attitude and rudeness for absolutely no reason.. we have stopped going because of this. Would love to go back if we didn’t have to deal with her. Everything else is great.

I've always loved this place, and it's one of the rare ones that I think have gotten even better over the years. My partner and I came in late after we closed our own bar looking for decent food, as most places don't have a lot of good options after a certain time, but Holman's offers a great late-night menu, and all the items we ordered were exactly what we needed. Everything was delicious, and the service we got from Zoe was fantastic.
You don't wanna go here.. Especially if you're service industry... STAY AWAY ..

Been there a few times now and it seems the bartenders do a really good job at ignoring you or giving you an attitude. Even when it’s slow. Not much to say on anything else because the initial interaction was so poor. Set the tone for the rest of it.
