Pad Thai was good. Chicken was a little dry and had a slightly odd flavor, maybe from the grill. Great portion size for the price.

Stopped by the third st food carts for dinner and found this gem! Great service, really quick turn around. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and crab wantons, and even got an extra spring roll! Tasted awesome - will make it a stop the next time I'm in Portland

The food was good, not great. Rather bland for Thai food. The service was quick and friendly.

I've had food from this cart many times. I never had a truly negative experience until last night. I really hope that the owner/operator of this cart reads these reviews because he needs to know why I will NEVER go there again.I placed my order and I asked for the dish to be made with NO ONION. The proprietor asked if I meant white onion or green onion or both, and I said both. It's a small cart so while I was waiting I could see inside where he was cooking. When it looked like he was almost finished, I saw him check his order pad and then show a visible look of displeasure. He disappeared into a back corner of the cart where I couldn't see him for a couple of minutes and then returned to my view, finished making my meal, and gave it to me. His behavior had made me suspicious, so when I got home I checked the food and I did find a small amount of white onion and green onion in it. It was then obvious what had happened. Even though he wasn't busy with any other orders, he forgot my special request and cooked the dish with both kinds of onion. Then, when he realized his mistake, he hid in the back corner of the cart and picked the onions out of the cooked food instead of making a new batch for me.The reason I always ask for no onion is NOT because I don't like the taste of onion; it's because it irritates my digestive system. I've had no problems in the past getting food without onion from this cart, except for one time when he cooked a dish for me with onion and he didn't catch the error but I did before leaving and he made it again correctly for me. This time he was dishonest about his mistake and it is totally unacceptable because once the onion was cooked in the food it was already too late; even if all the onion pieces were picked out, the onion juice was already in the gravy and cooked into the other ingredients. I ate half of the meal and very soon it did start to irritate my stomach so I had to take some medicine to counteract the effect of the onion.I've supported this cart many times and I always left a tip. But now I will never go there again and I hope that this review will steer other people away from it. There are lots of other good food carts in Portland. This one really doesn't deserve the business.

I LOVE this place!!! The man who runs it is so nice. I go way outta my way to go there. Usually, I get pad Thai with tofu and an order of spring rolls (8/$5.) Mmmmmm, just thinking about those spring rolls makes me want to go get some. I highly recommend eating here.Vegetarian options: I always get my pad Thai with tofu and spring rolls.Kid-friendliness: I see kids here all the time, with their parents or teenagers alone getting bubble tea.Wheelchair accessibility: This is a food cart with no stairs so someone in a wheelchair could easily eat here.Dietary restrictions: I'm a vegetarian who's allergic to cabbage and this place caters to my needs.

this reminds me of what carts used to be back in the day when you could go to one you didn't have to worry so much about a big tip. You have to worry so much about a big bill. All you had to do was figure out what look the best grab some and eat lean up against the wall. I'm not gonna get started on how all these carts now charge more than some brick and mortar's and then somehow your applied to leave a 20% tip not going there... But what I will say is this classic place is great because for under $15 you can grab two good drinks thai iced teas on our end. And a main dish to share with the more expensive proteins we got shrimp. The food was good. It was hot and fresh and cooked well. This is definitely a new favorite for the area. I will say most of the carts most of the restaurants to get what we got for $14 would've cost us easily 25 and been the same quality or less. This is an absolute must go to specially if you'd like other proteins, then chicken or tofu.

Really tasty spot for lunch in downtown Portland. Friendly staff and our food was ready with little wait. I got the spicy mango chicken dish and it was very tasty. Rice was perfectly cooked. Coconut shrimp is a must!
