Tigisti was our server and she was super sweet. She gave us good recommendations, made sure our water was always full, greeted us with a warm and genuine smile each day and engaged with our little one. She even found her colors to keep her busy. We ate there several mornings. Their breakfast potatoes are three kinds (purple, sweet, and regular) very good. The pancake is fluffy. Their side fruit bowl is huge, biggest I’ve seen. Got the omlete today and it was so veggie full, cheesy, and delicious!

We stayed at the Hilton hotel. As Diamond members, we received $15 daily food and beverage credits per person. We sampled quite a few dishes from their menu.

My favorites were the Margarita Pizza and Pesto Pasta Primavera. The pasta was loaded with fresh vegetables and absolutely delicious – though I'll definitely add chicken next time. The Fried Chicken Sandwich and Pistachio Affogato were also good.

Unfortunately, the breakfast items were disappointing. This was probably because breakfast is their busiest time, so the kitchen might be rushed. The Salmon Sweet Potato Hash was way too salty, and while the fried chicken itself was decent, the gravy just wasn't my thing.

Not bad, not amazing. The food was okay, but the noise level made it hard to enjoy the meal.

First time eating here, probably my last. I took my 12yo daughter who ordered fish and chips but the fish is a whole rock fish filet (like 12 inches long), battered and deep fried, it was so greasy and trapped a load of oil that spilled out all over my kids face and the fries and made the whole thing complete inedible. If a restaurant is going to deviate from the traditional way that fish and chips are served (in 99% of all restaurants) it should tell you that on the menu. The server was great, though, and she took it off the bill, we loved her. Also, I ordered a smash burger that devolved into a wet, drippy mess by the time I finished it. It's too bad since I work across the street and it would be nice to have that as an option.

The Fish Tacos here were OUTSTANDING!! I ordered and ate in the cafe area. I loved the old school decor, including the black & white tile floors. Great spot to enjoy some coffee and/or a delicious meal!

Hilton top notch quality service. I've visited with family and solo during my work travel.

Excellent ambiance and grand setting. Wide menu selection for breakfast. Scrambled egg was cooked just to the right texture. Excellent waitstaff.

The market has fair prices for downtown location. Good selection of salads, sandwiches, and geedunk items. Counter staff were all customer focused.

I had a very positive experience at HopCity Tavern + Market, meriting a strong 4-star review. The food was consistently good, and I particularly enjoyed the salmon bowl for breakfast; it was absolutely delicious!

My only complaint, and the reason it isn't a 5-star review, is the slow service, which appeared to be due to understaffing for the number of guests. Our waitress was truly great, and it was clear she was working incredibly hard but was visibly overwhelmed by the sheer volume of customers. She handled it admirably, but the delay was noticeable.

Despite the service being a bit stretched, the quality of the food makes HopCity worth a visit. If they can address their staffing levels, it would easily be a perfect spot.

Worst breakfast I've had in over a decade. Ordered room service. Tipped. Then it said we had to go pick it up, lol. Wtf. So we did. Waited forever and it was legit disgusting. Please go elsewhere.

I stopped in for breakfast. I was met by Tigi. If I could give her a six-star rating on a five-star scale, I would but they only let me give five star ratings. The Hilton also provided outstanding service by Em and Victoria. The management of the Hilton in Portland should be commended for hiring such great people.

I'm here all week for a conference. This restaurant has been incredibly frustrating not just for me but for many attending. What is the point of going cashless? Why are you closed during lunch when the hours displayed are open for lunch? Why are people being ignored when they are sitting and waiting for a menu? For a restaurant located in a hotel it is not very hotel guest friendly. For a restaurant in general it didn't seem very friendly or efficient. The way the staff seemed stressed says a lot about the management. I did enjoy the parfait but would not return.

This was the worst clam chowder I’ve ever had in my life. It was inedible and a waste of $20. I’ll avoid this restaurant in the future.

Why does it have to be so hard to go to the bathroom? I spent money. I was respectable. Don't get it. Won't come back
