Standard British pub food but what makes this a local favorite is the use of dark wood and creaky floors making it a cozy and charmingly dreary authentic British pub.If it's rainy and there is a chill in the air, head over to the pub get a pint, sit by the fire and eat a good British favorite like fish and chips. You will crave the experience in time.

Best fake British pub in Portland. Great selection of beers on tap including many English. Typical British pub food. This place hasn’t changed much in 20 yrs & has a great British pub atmosphere - my UK friend agrees.Parking: Lots of parking in lot behind building.

It was a bit too dark inside for us and we had our beverages and meals outside.Vegetarian options: There are a good amount options on the menu for vegetarians.Parking: Busy street with lots of little businesses makes parking close a bit if a challenge.Wheelchair accessibility: not much here for wheelchairs, steps and stairs.

Dependable legit British pub grub. The vibe is perfect. Other than the accents, this could be a pub in England or Ireland. There are several dart stations throughout the pub. Huge beer selection. The best thing that I've eaten there are the fish and chips. They are halibut, therefore on the smaller side. But you can order a three-piece which is adequate. The coleslaw they serve with it is flavorless. It's neither sweet nor vinegar. The fries are decent. The chicken pot pie is bone dry. The steak and mushroom pie is less than great too. The chicken sandwich is decent. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars. ✌?

One of my favorite vibes in Portland. Plus, incredible fish and chips.
Ordered the highly touted fish and chips-it was served on a ridiculously small plate, with everything piled on top of each other. As a result, chips were soggy and bottom of fish lost their crispness. Further, the fish was way over greasy.Certainly not the best fish and chips in the cityService was fine and atmosphere was quiet as it was still early in the evening

Cool place! Was told this was a Portland staple so I had to check it out. Been on my list for a long time. Pretty great beer selection in terms of styles. I had a guava sour from Ferment and a smoked beer from Threshold along with a cheese plate. Great snack. Very English-style pub menu. I don't eat meat so I couldn't substitute most of it but there was a handful of items I wanted to try before settling on the cheese board. Parking free after 6 in the surrounding area. I parked residential street parking before trying blocks away.
