It's a lot of fun. You should have reservations, especially if you want to sit in the bar (you should, so classic old Portland ). The bar is sooo loud, though. The big production for the Spanish coffee is worth the visit

Had a pretty uncomfortable time at Huber’s Cafe this past Saturday. I made a reservation a few weeks in advance, and was surprised when we were seated directly behind the hostess stand, arguably the worst spot in the restaurant. The tables were too close together and I spent 3/4 of the meal having to sit extremely close and leaned into the table because the guy behind me was leaning back.

And this was a long time, because our total meal time was two hours....

Got taken here on a first date a week ago and the service was incredible. Very relaxed atmosphere but definitely not common for portland. We ordered the spanish coffee and they make it at the table! It was super cool and i would def go again.
