Nice service, good vibes. It’s a good little coffee shop, I didn’t try the food but they had lots of options for baked goods and snacks. Decent amount of seating.
Wonderful food (literally everything is awesome), wonderful staff, wonderful coffee, wonderful atmosphere. Just wonderful. Only wish there was more space and their old restaurant and fuller menu would come back, so I could try it - apparently that was wonderful too.
Really really good! Got a nitro cold brew with vanilla cold foam, a vanilla cardamom morning roll, and The Classic sandwich with bacon on a cheddar jalapeno bialy.
The nitro cold brew is maybe the best coffee I've ever had, and has essentially ruined all other coffee for me. Couldn't really taste any vanilla, but it is so damn smooth and not too sweet, with crushed ice YESSSS 🙌🏼
The vanilla cardamom roll was simply heavenly. Do it, get it.
The Classic was delicious and a very generous size. My *only* criticism is that it was very poorly constructed, like the person who made it wasn't looking at it while making it. The ingredients were lumped together off to one side with about a quarter of the bialy empty. Even the bacon was all wadded up. After a 10 minute car ride home, the ingredients were all melted together, so it was a pain to reconstruct. But again, it was super delicious. That cheddar jalapeno bialy is to die for.
The space itself is very small, but really cute and inviting, and the staff was pleasant! Highly recommend.
They can make any sandwich gluten free by swapping out the bread. Yay. However, the filling/bread ratio is off. The ingredients are quality, and the bread seems homemade, which is nice. But there’s almost nothing in between two thick slices. It happens too much in the gluten free world where you drop $20-30 and have to stop somewhere else to eat afteward if you want to feel nourished and ready to take on the rest of the day. :( So Hungry Heart is not alone in this.
I will say that their gf bundt cake is perfect in every way.
I spent $18+ on the sausage sando and bundt cake.
They have the best cinnamon roll in the whole city (just gotta heat it up!)
Great service, delicious pastries, and good coffee. An overall good ambiance where I enjoyed an even better conversation with a good friend.
Great baked goods, hot breakfast items, and coffee drinks.

No prices on any of the baked goods in the case. Very yuppie “new Portland” where money is not an issue. I guess it also gives them the opportunity to profile the customer and make up any price that they think they’ll pay.
Ordered a sandwich with plain bread and a vegan burrito.
The bread was covered in cheese, and my partner is severely allergic to dairy. He had already taken a bite before we realized it was covered in cheese.
That is NOT OKAY - when people order something WITHOUT cheese there's usually a reason for it.
Cannot recommend this place if you have any dietary restrictions!!
Delicious breakfast options and friendly folks.

They posted that they have cupcakes available. Went in to try and buy some, employee said they don’t have them out yet. No employee working could say when cupcakes would be ready. Poor service, bait and switch postings.
