Hands down the best fried chicken sandwich in Portland (amid much competition). The chicken is super juicy, and the breading and fixings are all perfectly balanced, but their house-made hot sauce is definitely the showstopper of this sando (be sure to ask to add this!) I got mine with a side of truffle oil golden fried potatoes, and a green goddess radicchio salad. Excellent fried shrimp sandwich. Big pieces of shrimp and hand breaded and fried to perfection. I’m from the south where the fried shrimp sandwiches taste fresh like this, so I was impressed. The cooking of the fried potatoes was also excellent. Perfect crisp while soft on the inside. The aioli seems to be made from scratch. Even if it’s not, the flavor is just right. Honestly so impressed with this place. Bar food cooked with fine dining restaurant chef quality.
Go out of your way to visit this cart! Their food is so fresh, delicious, creative, and the staff is super kind. They have some great seasonal fish sandwiches, their potatoes are delicious, and they have a great vibe. They have a really cool red food cart and they are in Hinterland, which is awesome.
