The service was great, the tempura and miso were good which is why it gets a second star.
The sushi rice was beyond hammered. It hadn't yet turned to a glob of mush but it had that texture, all of the rolls we ordered completely fell apart.
There were bones on the salmon nigiri we ordered, and the unagi was also well past over cooked to the point of mush.
The tuna and inari would have been fine if not for the previously mentioned rice it sat on top of/had stuffed into it.
There really isn't an excuse to serve such bad rice in a sushi resturant, any number of cheeper conveyor belt joints do a much better job.
I don't take any joy in slamming a local mom and pop shop, if the meal had been even approaching just OK I would have kept it too myself as I believe in supporting local busniess, but this was just bad. We won't be back, but I hope for their sake it was just an off night.

My favorite sushi spot and a cedar mill staple I’ve frequented for over 10 years now. Fish is always fresh and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Delicious food and very kind owners. Highly recommend the sesame chicken and sushi dinner combo ‘A’. Their miso soup is my favorite!

Me no like. I didn't even take any photos of the food, so that sums it up for me. My guests seemed to like it. Place was empty... no warmth and hospitality. Too expensive.
Ichi roll is delicious. California roll is delicious. Tempura is cooked to perfection, very light, no grease, just perfect. Definitely coming back. A hidden gem in Bethany area.
