Good place for a quick and no-fuss meal. IKEA members can get various discounts, depending on the day of the week. It can get busy, and since only one person mans the service line, it can be slow. But, in his defense, he is accurate and gets the orders correctly and efficiently.
That said, the regular Wednesday cashier, Syrene, is a tough one to work with. Her manner is impersonal and abrasive, and even when substitutions are made in kids' meals, she charges them as side orders. If this was how she was trained, then either the food counter needs to communicate better; or she needs to work on being more flexible. Our group goes weekly, and each week, she holds us up over our food.
If she has rules to follow, then that's understandable. So the only thing to work on, then, would be her attitude. Her inflexible condescension makes her a very unpleasant person to work with.
You'd think that since there are long lines that the food would be phenomenal. Wrong. I used to eat here when I was a kid and loved the Swedish meatballs. Now its just overpriced school cafeteria food. Imagine going to school and getting your food then having to pay $13 for it. That's your experience here in a nutshell.
Not my idea of a meal. It was more or less you get whatever is left over, like a grab bag. I got cold smoked salmon that looked raw and was sticky like raw fish and also a chicken thigh, with all of the skin on it. And the fat. And the bones. Tried to share the salmon with my cat that loves salmon. She tried to bury it.
Remodeling, trouble finding bathroom and napkins. Had to buy bottles of water to drink.
Way too many kids screaming, it is such a strange place to take your children to.
The food, while it tastes good, tastes mass produced. Many of the cakes are a third of the size compared to Scandinavia, and the cakes and such don't always have the correct texture or flavor. It's a bit disappointing.
The various drinks are great.
Don’t forget to check the As-Is section.
go to get food at 7pm on the website and google says they close at 8, line is blocked off. he says they close at 7 but both website and online say 8. lets 4 people go through but won’t let us through. completely ridiculous.
Frozen yogurt pics are different sizes on the screen menu, chose 2 regular and 1 child size , received 3 child size cups, I said what I ordered to the lady, very snotty lady said I gave you what you ordered. 1 was smaller amount than the other 2, , very deceiving. Wow I got 1 extra dollop of frozen yogurt on 2 of them, and that's "regular size." Change your pics on your menu as to not deceive your customers
Don't have one by me so go when ever traveling. Prices are really reasonable and decent quality.

This was my first experience at the cafe and it was absolutely amazing. The food was incredibly tasty, the prices were comfortable, and the nostalgia factor was on point.

They're always closed at dinner time. Without fail there's a sign about them closing at 5pm "temporarily".

IKEA meatballs with lingonberry sauce is great, and their salmon is wonderful. They also have good desserts.

Not bad, not that good either. Kind of like a decent school cafeteria with a view of IKEA’s parking lot. Nice natural light

Price not worth it
Note a good choice for a first date, even if she is Swedish. Good food for the menu though.
