The noise outside is troubling when there are fast sidewalk traffic, noise and unruly people. To add a 20% service charge on our meal that doesn't include a tip for the waitress is ridiculous.

We always pick this as our go to when we have an outing downtown. Food and wine were great, as usual, but we were seated and waiting 20 minutes before any service but water, and even then there seemed to be confusion as to who was helping us. We were inside, so it shouldn't have been a problem of being forgotten. This continued throughout our meal, and we finally had to go to the station to get and pay our bill despite asking several times. We did appreciate multiple severs bringing us our orders.

Love this place! This is our new favorite restaurant! Amazing food, out of this world desserts, and great location! Would definitely recommend it!

Delicious food, excellent wait staff, and the riverfront view is amazing. Highly recommended!

We always have a great experience there. It was a friend's first time there and he loved it.

The food here was excellent. Great quality and the flavors of every dish that came to the table was fantastic. But it is pricey for the rather modest portions. All in all, my party of 4 was satisfied with the flavors and quality of our dishes, even though we weren't quite full at the end of dinner.

The food was okay but pricey. In addition, they surcharge 20%, and then ask for a tip for the waitress.

Unfortunately our last experience at Il Terrazo was not good. Service was super slow, taking 20 minutes after sitting down before a server took a drink order. I had to flag down a server to place the order. When the food came out, another server threw the plates on the table in a haphazard manner, and walked away without asking if we needed anything else. I have never had food presented like that in a fine dining restaurant ever. Food was bland. I used to love their bolognese, but this time it had no flavor. After we finished our meals, no one came out to offer coffee or desserts. I had to go to the front to get someone to pay our check. Then, they have the audacity to put a mandatory 20% service charge on the bill. The service we received was no where near worth 20%. The exerience was not worth the $240 we spent for a party of four. The owners need to get in there and bring this restaurant back to the level it used to be. Il Terrazzo used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Portland. Not anymore.

Always a fantastic plave to eat. It was busy when we first arrived, but it toned down after about 30 minutes. Drinks were fantastic, pasta was even better. Their saffron sauce is just amazing.

I have walked by this restaurant many times and so when a friend came to town and asked where we should eat, this is the first place that popped into my mind. I made a reservation for 6:30 and got there at 6:29. I waited at the front for 10 minutes as multiple staff walked by and said "someone will be with you soon" Finally at 6:39 they sat us outside and we waited until 7:13 for someone to come to our table and take our drink orders. Then we ordered drinks and appetizers and a few minutes went by and they wanted our food order, we wanted to relax with drinks a bit first, but they felt busy and, in a rush, so we ordered. The food came, I ordered tortellini, it came with 7 tortellini's, which was 7 bites of food about the size of a quarter, great food but not nearly enough, especially after the wait. The waitresses seemed overworked and understaffed. For a total bill of $175 for two meals, and 4 drinks, and that level of service seemed like a rip off. As much as I wanted to like this place and have heard a lot of good things, I am not sure I will be coming back.

Our experience unfortunately mirrors many of the other reviews— we sat at a table outside and found the service inattentive, with the food taking forever to come out, and the server rarely checking in with us. In fact, when we finished our meal, as the evening progressed it got colder, and we waited for any of the staff to look our way to ask for the bill. After waiting for more than 20-30 minutes after we finished, I gave up and went into the restaurant to pay. I was surprised that there was an automatic 20% service charge with the staff expecting us to tip more beyond that. For the price of our dinners, we found the portions exceedingly small. The shrimp pasta dish ordered had few shrimp and was just “ok”. The butternut squash ravioli had maybe 5-6 ravioli. While the sauce was good, the value just wasn't there.

I loved my meal, as did my guests. And the view was the best! Service was attentive and helpful! throughout. They accommodated our theater schedule without complaint.

I booked at table at 6:45 pm 5/17 for a special dinner for senior prom. Omg after the girls ordered it took 1.25 hr to get their food after they asked how long it would take. After 1.25 hours of waiting, some of the girls food was cold meaning it sat in kitchen forever.. girls were late to prom as the food took sooo long. Not a memory I wanted when I booked for my daughter and friend.. horrible service no one came around telling them sorry taking so long!!

Lovely waterfront eatery with strong, distinct flavors in each dish complemented by a full array of cocktails and wines. Prom night made it "dinner & a show" with fantastic people watching out on the boardwalk, too. My menfolk and I will return to try some more of their homemade pasta entrees! Compliments to the chef AND attentive waitstaff.

Table was nice and location was great. Food was mediocre. Carbonara was like Mac and cheese not carbonara. Up charge for bread with butter $13.00!! Automatic 20% gratuity is added to the bill. As stated the location is lovely but food was not worth repeating.
