Great beer selection (both draft & packaged) with friendly service on a really nice space in the heart of the action on Division. Imperial definitely holds a spot amongst the best beer bars in Portland.

Closed 30 minutes early. Could not experience it. If they were going to close early, a heads up would be appreciated. I get if people were to close early, if no customers were present, but a dude was inside, on his phone.

Edit: In response to the owner, a simple door/window hint, note, or website mention that the business will close if no customers are present, would be cool. I'm not looking for a personal heads up, just a general one to inform the public. No hate on leaving early or closing early, I get it. My review stated not being able to experience the business due to being closed during operating hours, just stating facts. The "dude" could be anyone, I can update it to say "employee" if you'd like.

This is one of the go-to spots on Division. They allow you to bring in outside food and they also have pop-ups. It's a great place to spend an afternoon, the beer keeps flowing and there's a lot of options.

Love the various beer options on tap. They also have ciders and quite the few beer options to go. The outdoor area is amazing with tons of space to sit and enjoy the sun or get under some shade. The seating by the sliding window overlooks the street/sidewalk is a fun touch! Staff was kind, supportive, and welcoming.

Here are some customer service tips for the owner: say “hello”, and maybe “how are you?” when someone comes into your shop. When they leave, say “thank you” or “enjoy”. Say anything….I really want to like this place, cool on street patio and decent selection of beers on draft + to-go, but the owner has made me uncomfortable for years. I literally walk by hoping he’s not working. I left a review a long time ago about how you barked at me when you closed early one day, and you had a temper tantrum in response. I brought up how a younger woman who wears glasses should be paid more during COVID, and you thought I was talking about your wife. I don’t see that review anymore (I might have deleted it tbh), but I know you remembered me.Your wife + everyone I’ve ever encountered there is super nice except for you. It’s a shame that places like Rev Nat + Sessionable close down, but this guy who is not good at customer service at all stays open. Every time I give this place a shot, I leave with a bad taste in my mouth. And it’s not the beer. Cheers
