JJ infuses passion into every aspect of his business. To minor details, customer interaction and his food truck aesthetic. If you don't believe me, get your kid a hot chocolate. It will be the most impressive and labor intensive hot chocolate you ever saw. It's because he cares about how you feel and enjoy the cup. I've been going for awhile, he runs an exceptional business and is an exceptional human even more importantly.

Came to pickup Togo from the Nepali food cart next to this one, I stopped by and it was unique and definitely one of the best coffees I’ve had in Portland. Service was excellent, I was given a choice to take the first sip and request any modifications. Loved the service and the coffee. Glad I stopped by!

Best latte I've ever had! Mixed with a delicious homemade salted caramel sauce that was perfectly balanced with the coffee, and fresh espresso whipped cream to top it off.. everything about it was perfect! A must try. Plus you could tell the owner is a passionate coffee maker, and the customer service was top notch. All in all a 10/10
The owner was very passionate about making coffee. He was also a very kind person and knew all his regulars names and drink orders. He even knew all the dogs names and gave them all treats! Oh ya and the coffee was the best I’ve had in Portland.

My favorite coffee spot in town! <3 I enjoy visiting here as often as I can. My go-to is their latte, but I've ordered the Shakerato (highly recommend at least once, it's fun!) and the Fruit Sparkler is wonderfully refreshing during the summer. The coffee is SO GOOD and the barista is just the friendliest person and makes the experience great. The syrups, whip creams, etc are all made by the barista. I tell everyone I know about this place and especially love bringing my out-of-town friends here.

J Vein is the only cafe I know that folks come from anywhere in town just for the coffee and the good vibes. The expresso whipped cream is made fresh daily and it's heavenly for rough mornings. The owner always has a joke and a smile, which is the perfect pick-me-up to start the day!

On par with any latte, cappuccino, cortado that I had in Italy. JJ is a serious artisan. It shines in everything he makes. This is literally my first stop every time I come into Portland for business. People... he hand whips his own whip cream, concocts his own syrups, fashions his very own ice cream, grows his own fruits for smoothies. I mean... it can't get better than this! Look, I love my Seattle coffee. But JJ owns every coffee shop I've ever been to in the US. Maybe other than another fav I have here in Seattle. Make sure you tell JJ Sam sent you. And if you like Hazelnut, Cinnamon, and brown sugar ask for THE SAM. You won't be disappointed. Here's to hoping Netflix makes a doc about this guy someday and it's titled "The Perfect Cup."

By far the best chai tea latte that I have EVER had! My wife ordered the dark chocolate frappe and said it's also the best drink she's ever had! We will definitely be back before our trip is over specifically for the frappe and fresh hand whipped cream! The owner is very personable and lets you know about all of the syrups that are made in house! You can tell he loves dogs, too. There were many customers who came by with their dogs and the owner immediately lit up and started talking to the dogs and giving them treats! There are numerous benches around the area to sit and enjoy your coffee! Make sure you stop at the other food trucks!
