Wonderful dining experience. Lined up at 4:30 to get a table for 4 when it opened at 5. Very much enjoyed four orders of a dozen oysters for happy hour that were fresh and sweet. Also recommend the branzino and smoked mussels.

Our favorite “fancy” restaurant in Portland. Try the lobster roll, crab toast, and smoked trout. Never disliked any other dish I’ve tried there either. Our go-to place to take out-of-towners if they’re looking for a high-end place showcasing NW seafood and flavors. Expensive, but worth it! And to boot- it’s loosely themed off Wes Anderson’s Life Aquatic. :)

Celebrated a birthday at Jacqueline and was able to get a reservation during their $1 oyster happy hour. These oysters are some of the best in the city (I have a small handful of favorite spots, including Flying Fish and Canard). What I love about Jacqueline is the care they put into their dishes.

The Hamachi crudo is fantastic. I loved the Lobster in a Bun and the crab toast. I do wish I had chosen something different than the dumplings, but they were decent. This is my 2nd time at Jacqueline and wanted to return because the last meal was quite amazing. Excellent mussels, burrata dish and halibut.

I want to return and try their whole branzino and/or cedar planked rainbow trout.

At the ver least, go for their oysters and few side dishes and it will be a fantastic culinary evening. Make sure you order that last happy hour oysters before it hits 6pm!

This is definitely one of the best dining experiences I have had in Portland! The food was amazing. We did the tasting menu which comes with about 3 items per section on their menu plus dessert. Every dish had such a diverse flavor profile, and every single one was amazing. The full tasting menu leaves you very full. It is seafood forward, but not exclusively. Can't wait to come back!

Small plate upscale-yet-laidback seafood. We waited outside before they opened but it only took about 10min to get seated. Cozy atmosphere. The staff was super nice and helpful. The menu is always changing but we loved everything we got. Wonderful experience.

We had a tremendous dinner - such fresh, creatively prepared seafood (with a bit of an asian flourish to many dishes). Wine and cocktail list were also excellent!

The oysters are fairly expensive - we ordered a dozen and it was 40 dollars. I also would focus only on ordering seafood dishes as those were the star for me.

We were also told 1-2 plates per section (small medium large) per person would be good.
For 2, we were full after 5.

Oysters on a half shell ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
- loved one of the oysters, not all
- sort of bits of shell in some of them

Hamachi crudo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- loved the citrus taste
- the pineapple was a good touch
- super soft fish

Chanterelle and sheeps milk cheese agnolotti pasta ⭐⭐⭐✨
- loved the chanterelle more than the pasta
- the broth was super interesting

Asian pear figs, serrano ham, burrata, sherry vin, frisbee, crispy shallots, saba ⭐⭐⭐
- didn't love the serrano ham
- loved the dogs and pears though
- wouldn't order again

Crab toast ⭐⭐
- was told this was their signature
- good but had some hard chunks I didn't love
- super buttery
- a little salty for me
- my partner loved it though

Tiramisu ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- loved that it wasn't too sweet

We had a phenomenal meal at Jacqueline. Every single dish was delicious, and we had 9 of them (we chose the prix fixe option)! Fantastic service, great ambiance, we will definitely return next time we're in Portland.

After recently returning from Nice, France and enjoying fresh, raw oysters, I was craving some and this restaurant was recommended. We arrived early at 4:30p (without a reservation) and were first in line when they opened the doors at 5p. They take reservations first but we had a four top table for 90 minutes. We ordered three dozen oysters (one dozen per guest) during their one-hour daily happy hour. It’s an incredible value. They were delicious and come with an assortment of spiced pairings. I paired my oysters with a glass of Pinot Grigio that was on the HH list. We also ordered a lobster bun (incredibly buttery, sweet and savory - my favorite), a baguette and the chicory Caesar salad with smoked oyster dressing (my second fav). It was an excellent culinary experience.

The food here is just fantastic. The happy hour with $1 Oysters is a good start. But really I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I loved the Persian cucumber salad which had a sprinkling of pistachio nut with honeydew melon and feta cheese. So incredibly tasty. The yellowfin tuna Tataki with a sweet soy was light and delicious. My favourite was the Dungeness Crab toast which was light but filling and went well with the Pinot Gris wine. The atmosphere was casual and the staff were attentive. I can’t say enough good about this place. It was so much fun.

OMG! this dinner was one of the top 10 meals I have had in 2024, and that says a lot considering I live in NYC, and have traveled to 7 different countries this year (Italy, Greece, and Colombia are just a few). every single dish was constantly amazing. I wish I could eat this meal every single day.

Some things were great but some things were off. First time I went a couple oysters were off and I got sick.(not blaming them because it’s hard to tell with oysters) Second time things were unnecessarily fishy . Like they shouldn’t have been .
