Excellent food and service! And the gallery of artwork that is on sale is awesome! 👍

We visited Jam on Hawthorne with a party of 11, and despite the size of our group, the team seated us surprisingly quickly considering the weekend traffic. We were greeted by Jo, whose enthusiasm, bright smile, and attentive service set the tone for the entire meal. I ordered the pistachio latte perfectly crafted and full of flavor alongside the smoked steelhead hash, which was absolutely delicious, well-balanced, and showcased the freshness of the main ingredients.

Once we ordered, the food arrived promptly. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the prime location. The restaurant’s vibrant walls, adorned with artwork from local artists, added to its warm and creative atmosphere. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d highly recommend stopping by if you’re on this side of the river and craving an exceptional breakfast and some positive energy.

Not sure why this place is on any of the Portland lists.

It’s so snobby inside.
The food is mediocre

Typical Portland actually.

I have lived in Portland for 10 years now and I remember I first came to Jam in 2016 after I first moved here and remember thinking it was one of the best breakfasts/brunches I’ve had in a long time. I have now been here 5-6 times since then and it has become increasingly disappointing with every return. There is almost always a wait, no parking, setting is always right on top of one another and the worst part of it all is the food sucks. Not the menu itself, but the food itself. This last and final meal I had here today was almost entirely inedible. The eggs were way over cooked. Along with the bacon. The hash browns and toast were the only two items that I finished and still only mediocre considering they are pretty hard to mess up. I only have two stars for the friendly staff but overall the food was disappointing and for a place that has a consistent wait time, I’ll definitely pass next time.

Tasty little place w my dream menu item, gravy over hashbrowns!!!! We got the loaded hash brown, Tommy’s Joint, and the lemon and blueberry pancakes. The pancakes were definitely way too sweet (for our taste) but the blueberry compote itself was very nice. The burrito was good w the house made habanero hot sauce. I absolutely loved my hash brown bowl as well. Our adorable server was very kind and attentive. Would come again if we lived in the area!!

First time there with friends. The food a 10 ! The service a10 the portions a 10 the Bloody Mary’s a10. The negatives are I don’t remember the waitresses name because of no name tag. I would prefer to have real utensils for such delicious food. And finally, bring your own real straw for the Bloody Mary , paper straws suck

Good food and good service. Absolutely worth the visit. It can get a bit busy even on weekdays and even more on weekends. Still worth it imo

Had their grilled cheese and tomato-basil soup—super melty cheese, smooth soup with fresh basil. Staff were inviting and not rushed. Street parking on Hawthorne was limited but I found a spot around the corner. Fun, buzzy neighborhood feel

Absolutely loved this place. Went there on a Thursday afternoon at about 1:00. Was surprised to get in so quickly but glad I did. I went for the Grand Marnier French toast + a side of bacon and their chicken basil sausage links. The French toast was incredible. There is something quite unique about it. One piece was enough for me though could have probably devoured one more piece. Bacon was perfectly cooked and tasty. Sausages were really tasty. What a very unique flavor. Had a Mango Mimosa and that did not disappoint. Met the owner who came by to make sure everything was going well and it was .. very much so. Love the vibe of this place. Will be back soon.

When you come here alone be prepared to lose your seat if you use the restroom to wash your hands after you order, cause they gonna seat some other people there.

My server made sure to come over and make it right about the confusion. And she asked me if I was ok where I was moved and she gave me a choice to move somewhere else and I really appreciated that.

Love this place. If you order online or via Uber eats ask for jam on the side! It is to die for!!
