Easy five star if service was improved. The food is great but they seem short staffed every time I'm there.

On a Friday night I arrived at 9PM with a group of five. When i walked in every table had dirty dishes. I bussed my own table, waited 30 minutes for a waitress to come to my table. I asked the manager, Ashley, several times if I could put in an order. Finally i took the order for five people to the hostess. Half am hour later I was advised by the hostess that they had ran out of the meal I ordered half an hour ago. The manager Ashley and the other waitress stood around laughing. Our meal was delivered to our table at 10:27 PM. The food was great.

The worst service, a very rude bartender. She was Indian or of brown skin complexion. Really disgusting how she treated us, because we came in with a baby on a Sunday morning for brunch. Before we could even leave the table we chose she barraged us with profanity and disrespect. We didn't know and she is lucky because that was inhumane and embarrassing. Don't go to Jantzen Beach Bar and grill until they fire her.

Dia and her do workers were awesome! We came late during the rush and they made everyone calm and happy with yummy food and hospitality! I hope everyone can learn from Dia and her team on how to show real hospitality and kindness! Much mahalo to the JB bar and grill team! Highy recommended breakfast food! Will return!

What a GREAT FIND ‼️ we were so surprised that we did not NEED to leave the hotel to enjoy nice meals. The staff was fun, attentive and had such a good vibe as it opens to a big lobby and the bar w/Sports TV. My husband I were THRILLED! We could not believe we were at a HOLIDAY INN - it was GREAT !!!

This is my favorite go-to restaurant on the island. Hands down the best made-from-scratch salmon chowder in town — substantial but not thick and gooey and the flavors are spectacular. The grilled asparagus with truffle sauce and grilled lemon is an excellent side and my son loves the steelhead. Can’t wait to go back, which won’t be long because I live on the water just a short walk away :)

Convenient restaurant tucked in at the Holiday Inn. Good atmosphere, waitresses were pretty helpful and are not the types that harrass every few minutes. -1 because the utensils were a tad cloudy and the price is a bit much, but not everything is perfect.Perfect portion size, enough to be filling! Go give it a try!

The Jantzen Beach Bar & Grill is inside the Holiday Inn Portland - Columbia Riverfront. This is a full-service restaurant and bar. We dined at the Jantzen Beach Bar & Grill the evening prior to our river cruise on the Columbia. The menu was interesting ~ included northwest salmon fish & chips, blackened cod, shrimp alfredo, ribeye steak, porkchop, boneless beef shortribs, chicken pot pie, meatloaf, steelhead trout, and fancy mac & cheese (see attached menu pic for more detail - lots of interesting entrees to choose from.) I ordered the blackened cod on a ymmy roasted red pepper sauce and was served with couscous, spring vegetables and asparagus. My husband ordered the meatloaf served with mashed potatoes, gravy and seasonal vegetables. Both entres were nicely plated and the food was very good. Staff was friendly and attentive. The carpet needed a really good vaccum, but that seemed to be the issue with the entire hotel, not just the restaurant.

Had extremely poor service here, I think they only had 1 waitress, we sat down and it took about 10 minutes to get menus, at which time the waitress had a negative attitude and didn't even ask for drink order or anything else, after waiting another 15-20 minutes while watching the waitress stand at the bar for half the time we decided to leave and go to another restaurant. The restaurant is also attached to the hotel lobby so the ambiance is kind of weird. Wouldn't recommend
The server Wanda was amazing and very attentive. She treated everyone with kindness as if she ran the place. Wanda was always there when we needed service and was pleasant to talk to. The food was good but the service made the experience better!

We stayed at the hotel which is lovely with a beautiful view however, our restaurant experience was not good. I had the chicken and waffles which was basically a waffle with three chicken strips on it. I had to ask for butter and syrup for my waffles. Our food was boring and the service was terrible. Many people waited at the counter never to be recognized or to be told. I'll be with you in just a moment. We were fortunate to get served in a more timely matter than most.

We got free breakfast vouchers so we eat free, we usually don't want to try any places that google review score lower than 4, but we have free breakfast so we decided to give it a try. Surprisingly we liked the breakfast, we ordered steak and eggs, pulled pork belly, and they were all very delicious!

We went to the mother's day buffet and it was excellent! Great variety. Not the usual menu you find at buffets. Would definitely recommend.
