The homemade vegan English muffin sando was next level. We got the local tofu patty and it was amazing, totally worth the upgrade. Coffee was delicious, and the staff was friendly and personable. You have no idea how hard that hit for two weary travelers. This is a must stop on all future PDX trips! Thank you so much!
Good coffee, yummy pastries, a pleasant atmosphere (lots of coffee shops have that black and white plastic chair bullshit these days) and it's all vegan which should always garner the most support. Plus its right by the vegan sandwich cart and food fight. I always come here when I'm in town.
Exceeds the hype. Today I had a filling and tasty breakfast sandwich and a delicious cold brew. Staff was super nice and the space is clean and spacious with a lovely little semi shaded patio. Looking forward to my next visit! Updated from previous review on 2025-06-17
Good coffee, lots of places to sit, and an outdoor deck. Lots of parking.
Flavorful vegan fare, cool vibe, friendly humans
Great breakfast sando. Get the peppers and sausage with it. The lavender matcha was good too. They have a lot of flavors. Nice vibe in here too.
Nice space. Everything is plant based. Espresso was great.
Cardamom latte, my favorite at Jet Black. Have you tried it yet. And then if I am peckish, I pair it with their vegan breakfast sandwich. Oh my goodness it is so good. Mouth drooling just remembering it's flavors
This is one of my favorite coffee shops. They have alternative milk choices and they have a selection of allergen conscious food stuffs.
I've been here twice. Recently, and as part of a larger group. I got the Ginger Spiced Chai both times and it was so flavorful. Ample seating, clean cafe, good vibes, friendly staff. It was cozy sitting at the window bar area looking out at the deck. When I sat with the larger group, the seating in the back of the shop had plenty of space for all 8-10 of us. So close to Food Fight too, really convenient to pick up some snacks afterwards.

Average coffee. Syrups are not made in house. NO DAIRY for those who don't scroll through and read the details like me. Unfortunately I can't stomach alternatives so my stomach definitely won't be happy.
This place is rad and I can't wait to return.
All coffee/espresso creations are solid, and there are some great pastries and basic bagel fare to accompany.
Most importantly, the ladies are super friendly and create a generally chill atmosphere.
Randomly stopped in while bringing my kid to the allergist, and I'm happy I did.
Love the tattoo aesthetic all over the walls, would love to know more about the owner's backstory in that field.
Wonderful space to work or meet! Solid coffee offerings and the usual portland coffee house menu. The space is large and there’s usually space to sit and work for awhile. It picks up around 9 but I’ve noticed the early morning crew kinda has the whole place. I love all the plants and the vibes are all good here.
Okay oat milk mocha isn't one word but you can't go wrong if that's what you order here and don't forget to show the coffee baristas some 💕 they can make a great vegan oat milk mocha
Nice place to grab a coffee and pastry before shopping at food fight
