When a favorite coffee shop expands there’s always a chance things just won’t be as good anymore. JoLa is a great example of good getting better. Fab menu options, friendly service and comfy vibe. Everyone I’ve brought has loved it. Yay!

Great spot if you're in the neighborhood. Or, if you're like me and don't have a favorite neighborhood spot, it is worth the side trip. Great food if you've got time or need a quick bite. Excellent coffee and barista skills.

I love this cafe! I used to live in the neighborhood and have missed it. Great gluten free sandwich today! I hear Jola will be offering dinner service starting Wednesday next week! I'll be returning on my next visit to Portland to try it out!

I’ve lived in the John’s Landing neighborhood for many years and this cafe has never disappointed. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious and priced competitively, and the atmosphere is as enticing as the ever evolving menu. Besides the smooth and delicious coffee, my favorite beverage is the French 75…and they always do it right! I love that they showcase local artwork and support the community. This is a Portland Icon you don’t want to miss. I hear they are adding dinner service next week. I will be there. Thanks, Jola!

Cute breakfast spot - tons of space inside and a very cozy atmosphere. Got a breakfast sandwich which was only okay, which was partially my fault for subbing out the default biscuit with a bagel. The bagel was very hard and the sandwich didn't seem to fit inside a bagel profile.

I appreciate Jola because it’s one of few places in PDX that has ample seating and warm, friendly employees.

Love this spot! The food is priced fairly, the service is fast and they're so kind and smiley at the register, plus the ambiance is perfect for a hole in the wall corner cafe

I just moved to town. Refunded me because they accidentally gave me the wrong order. I ate it anyway, told them that, still insisted on refund. I ordered soup when I came back for the refund, soup was free! Beautiful people!

A little hideaway spot with fabulous sandwiches. Service was quick and friendly even though we were there during the busy part of the day.

Parking: Street parking and can be tough to find a spot.

Lots of places to sit and move around. Not a lot of outlets, so come early if you need them. The truffle fries were good and I enjoyed my pasty. Coffee was top tier. The neighborhood is so cute. Parking wasn't too awful on the weekend. Would return, especially if I were still a student.

Dietary restrictions: I was with a friend who is gluten intolerant. There are options here!
