The food is delicious and the service is great. The atmosphere is very lacking if you dine in because they use paper plates and plastic cutlery and the majority of their business is takeout so you might end up sitting and eating while surrounded by a bunch of people waiting for their takeaway orders. Like I said though, the food is delicious. To the numb nuts complaining about them using plastic bags: every Chinese restaurant does it and the majority of people in Oregon were against the ban anyway (Over 60% opposed) so get over it.

I ordered delivery. This is the second time I've ordered from here; my first order wasn't great but I figured I'd give them another chance. This time was worse.I ordered the house special chow mein, the wonton soup, and the pot stickers. The chow mein had a generous portion and was the spice level I requested but it was almost entirely noodles, barely any protein or cabbage (let alone sauce). The wonton soup was just gross and the pot stickers were pre-made (they tasted like Ling Ling). Not worth the money. Maybe getting food in-house or takeout is a different experience based on the reviews here, but I didn't enjoy my food.

The food is consistently tasty, the service is great, the atmosphere is simple and clean. Just a typical order at the counter vibe. Remains a favorite lunch place.Dietary restrictions: There are vegetarians options, and if you have a gluten sensitivity and are ok with potential cross contamination, the cashew chicken is delicious. I always order it GF but I'm not sure if you have to specify gf.Kid-friendliness: I've taken my kids there since they were little and they love it. No kids menu but we'd just share since the portions are large.

Ordered food online for pick up. Got there 5 minutes after it was ready and it was still HOT by the time we got home. The portions are amazing for the price and the food is delicious!! Well seasoned and not overly greasy. Can’t wait to go back and try more food!

So there's something really special about this place This is about the 10th time that I've been here completely on accident.Robust menu with lots of clients It doesn't feel like The place where the employees are so tired because they've been working to the bone for 30 years. The food super fresh vegetables perfectly blanched the meat perfectly seasoned and the rice was so good . (I can't believe how much bad rice have had in the past month). There's a nuance discussion to be had about Americanized Chinese food but I'm not going to have it here in this review. It really do superior quality, just everything. From start to finish maybe 5 minutes is as long as I've waited. If you dine in It's a little bit 1980s. Diner but it totally warms my heart. It reminds me of the places I went when I was a kid. This place just checks so many boxes and is really the best quick to go Chinese food you can get (at a reasonable price) in the metro.Kid-friendliness: I have a special needs child and he jumps around and makes a lot of noise and you all think it's really cute. I can't tell you how many places I've been to that felt terrible going in. People told him to stop walking around.

We have done take outs and deliveries a few times from Joy Wok. High level summary, fresh and relatively healthy grub. In general, the taste in on the bland side (some correlation to healthy), not super authentic food, but a good alternative to Panda Express. Price is reasonable in relation to the portion. Service tends to be pretty fast, and the decor is definitely more of a no frills Cafe set up. With all that in mind, I'm giving this place a four star for what it is, no frill American Chinese that's not super sweet and not every dish is covered in "brown sauce". Keep the price and portions reasonable, and we'll continue to get food from here.

It's good and fresh :). I had all intentions to make dinner, but then a project got in the way, and I was about to have 2 very hungry kids home from ballet and soccer. I jumped on DoorDash and filtered for a place that could honor a 30 minute delivery. Up came Joy Wok. The delivery made it to us in 30 minutes-ish. I was delightfully surprised by the abundance of vegetables in the dishes, as well as the proteins. Vegetables are my favorite food, and are typically a smaller portion in the dishes I ordered, but not from Joy Wok. The veggies really show equal to the flavors and proteins in the Broccoli Beef and Szechuan Chicken. I ordered the Sweet & Sour chicken as well as the BBQ Pork. The sweet and sour sauce & the dipping sauce for the BBQ Pork are a perfect balance; not too sweet and light in consistency/not cloying. The chicken, and beef in each dish is tender and well seasoned. I very much appreciate the Sweet and Sour Chicken breading being airy and delicate. The portions are large. There is at least another meal left over, if not 2. The BBQ pork's hot mustard sauce not being fresh or a higher quality is my one complaint. We received 2 little restaurant packets with the dish, that were neither spicy (love that nasal burn with mustard sauce) nor flavorful. I've had better for sure! For me this is a pretty big bummer as the only reason I personally see to have BBQ pork is to smother it in delicious hot mustard. The family isn't with me on this one ;).
