my fave breakfast spot in portland! delicious food with great vegan options, lovely, kind employees, and the coziest vibe around :)
Juniors checked all our boxes. Both ordered scrambles with toast, vegan sausage and hashbrowns. I got the vegetarian Anto-Hero scramble, and my partner got the Migas. Everything cooked perfectly. I got a Baileys iced coffee and my partner got a drip coffee. Both were great!
We were placed on a wait but sat immediately (definitely would’ve been worth a wait). The environment is classic, homey & eclectic. Our server Larry gave some of the best service we’ve had during our trip to Portland. He was kind, efficient and hustling!! Made our experience quick but never rushed. When you drop by, ask for him.
We look forward to coming back by on our next trip up to PDX.
Food was well prepared, and sating.
Service left a lot to be desired. Server was inattentive, failed to offer beverages, was not prompt in dropping off check.
Atmosphere was homey, relaxed.
Okay we all know the food here is excellent. I mean I shouldn't be saying it but this is the hidden unpretentious Portland gem that's refused to hipsterify.
Patio is A+ now that Portland is less soggy.
The big rig burrito is excellent, the migas scramble with soyrizo will make you cry and the pancake is perfect, it's all good.
BUTTTTTTT what makes this place truly shine is a server named Larry or affectionately Laramie. He loves his job and it makes the food and whole experience so much more mmm. As a server myself this man is a master, something that dinners rarely experience in this increasingly jaded world. Sooo the food is excellent and the service is uplifting, if you're sensitive to it you will walk out with more hope in humanity.
whatever you do though, don't ask what his middle name is, he won't give that up.
Hashbrowns are to die for
One of my favorite places to relax, fuel up, and feel like family. I don't even live in Portland, but it's the first place I go when I fly into town! Great vegan options, fantastic coffee. I just wish I lived closer!
I live for finding these hole in the wall places that are off the radar and amazing! I got JR Cristo which was very tasty. Also probably some of the best cooked hash browns around. Just the right amount of crispiness!
Junior’s is my local neighborhood diner, and whenever I come in I feel like i’m in a small town. They know my name, they’re kind to me, they act like they’re happy to see me. It’s a genuinely beautiful spot. Give Larry some hell and you’re golden
Food was ok, small step above a perkins.

Such a gem. A cozy, pleasant place to enjoy breakfast or lunch, with excellent service and an outstanding menu that caters to all types of dietary preferences and needs. Junior's is a credit to its neighborhood and to the most friendly and genuine side of the Portland food scene.

Went on a hiking vacation to Oregon. We chose this place because of the vegan options. I ordered the Outlaw (if i remember correctly). It was good! good flavor, good seasoning. The hash browns alone is what gives this place my 4 star rating. I've never had hash browns like theirs. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and this awesome flavor that I still cannot figure out what it is. Ordered a side of French toast and it tasted very eggy, not a fan of that one. Staff was friendly, liked the hole-in-a-wall feel. Would visit again someday.
