I found this place earlier today when I was looking for a refreshing drink. I got their hibiscus drink which was delicious. Then I returned later for food. And. OMG. The food was absolutely superb! Sooo much flavor!! The sauces were amazing! The chicken was perfectly grilled! Everything was outstanding!

I haven't had a ton of African food besides Ethiopian but it was very tasty, the flavors remind me a bit of Greek food. I have tried the Chicken Yassa (chicken & yellow rice), Thie Boulette (beef meatballs), and Thiebou Yapp (lamb & jollof rice). The fatayas are good too, like empanadas. All were tasty, my favorite probably being the Thie Boulette: tender meatballs in a savory tomato/oniony stew and served w/ rice. My only complaints would be that the meat to rice ratio is a bit rice heavy, but their rice is very savory. Also, I wish there was a few more fresh veggies than just the bit of sautéed onion and tomato slices for garnish.

Incredible food. Some of the tastiest food I've ever had. The yassa tilapia is so uniquely delicious as well as the meat pies and the sauce! Everything here is good tho! The workers are friendly and sweet ☺️

Absolutely delicious! Went with my parents and we got the #2, 3, 4, and 12, plus the hibiscus drink -- we were impressed with all of it. The meats were all tender and beautifully spiced, and the flavored rice had a delightful taste and texture. I could drink that hibiscus drink all day every day and be happy. Plus, both people working there were so sweet and friendly! Highly recommend!!

Good food for a decent price! Support black owned businesses! They have a simple menu and everything has tasted great that I've tried. I recommend the beefy, peanutty stew and the fish yassa most!

The Mafe Yapp was incredible, I'm excited to go back and try the rest of the menu :)

My partner and I ordered from here, but somehow the order was lost and we had to place it again once we came to pick it up. The owner apologized profusely and offered to give us the meal for free! We declined as we also own a small business, and things happen! We just finished the meal, and I don't think I could have eaten any faster. It was beyond delicious! We appreciated the food and the gesture from the owner, and we will definitely be back.We ordered the Chicken Yassa, Fataya, Grilled Lamb Dibi, Thiou Boulette, and Bissap for our drinks.

I wish I had taken a pic before I ate it! But, I ordered the #4 Thiebou Yapp with extra spicy seasoning and plantains. The food was well cooked and seasoned with lots of flavor and good portions.
