We had such a fun dining experience at Kachka! We had a big group and everything is served family style, so we got to try a lot of dishes. You can really feel how much love goes into everything. The food was all so delicious and unique. I bought the cookbook (which is amazing, btw) and Chef Bonnie was nice enough to take time from her busy night to come chat with us and sign it. I will definitely come back to this restaurant next time I'm in Portland!
Do not be afraid of the horseradish vodka. It is delicious. Our server was great. She explained everything on the menu and was helpful in suggesting how much food to order. Especially enjoyed the smoked beet salad, bread board, dumplings and stuffed cabbage, and sampling vodka. Recommend the horseradish and strawberry. Prices reasonable for the amount of food we got. Highly recommend having reservations and the restaurant was packed
Excellent and interesting authentic Russian and Eastern European food. Very good wait staff very helpful. Nice premesis interesting vodka collection. Great value Pelmeni with fancy broth. Golbutski or whatever. Would have loved to try other items. So much food !
One of the best dining experiences of our lives! So glad to have stumbled into this place. The food was amazing and the waiters and staff were wonderful!
One of the highlight meals of my life. Everything was creative and delicious! Service was on point. 11/10, would do again in a heartbeat!
We had an amazing time here. We did the zakuski experience and were able to try so much of the menu this way. We got some hot dumplings as well and, of course, a generous amount of the horseradish vodka! Can't wait to come back next time we are in Portland.
Our group went to happy hour and enjoyed a range of appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts. The lavash nachos, Moscow mules and combo meals were favorites.
From the linoleum tablecloths to the horseradish shots to the malosolniye took me right back to childhood.
We took a recommendation from a good friend to visit this restaurant. We ordered a menu meal where the staff brings you appetizer sized small plates of their best choices. The server also recommended the dumplings, which we added. To say we were not disappointed would be understatement. All the food was phenomenal; even some dishes that had ingredients that i usually don't enjoy. Everything was amazingly tasty. Do yourself a favor...eat here! 12/0 would recommend!
Always a wonderful evening at Kachka. Excellent food, friendly and attentive staff and creative drinks. Never disappointed!

The food is fabulous. The noise level is so high that it was hard to impossible to hold a conversation between 5 people. I don't know if there is something they could do to baffle the surfaces in the restaurant, but we can't come back because my husband is hard of hearing and couldn't hear anything.
Great experience. The food is so delicious and unique. Unlike anything else I've ever had. Service was spot on. Four of us dined for $180 inclusive of drinks and gratuity, which was quite reasonable given the quality of the food and the level of service. I highly recommend Kachka.
My husband and I came in for our anniversary and in addition to the little celebratory bubbly we were greeted with, we tried the Northern Neighbors vodka flight and the Ruskie Zakuski experience. All of the food and drink was fantastic and our server was really helpful with recommendations. This is absolutely one of our favorite restaurants in PDX!
Best meal we had in Portland. Truly wonderful ambiance with amazing food, no wonder it's so hyped up. We made a reservation, and I'm super glad we did, because it was totally packed.
The best by far were the meat dumplings, but everything was excellent. Even the pickled vegetables were lovely.
Will for sure be back!
Incredible food and great service. I'm always impressed with the server's drop phrases for the food — it's not easy to memorize a menu that changes often, but they make it sound like easy work. The horseradish martini is the drink of my dreams. Slay foreverrrr
