Had a great journey through food. Letting our server guide us through the menu was the right choice. The vodkas were eye opening (especially the horse radish!). This was our second visit--will come again

What a fun and new experience! 5 of us celebrating a birthday came to dine for the 1st time! You should know that gratuity is added to your bill but it is so worth it and you should consider leaving more possibly. The reason why, is from the moment we were greeted throughout our visit we were treated so well. Our very knowledgeable server introduced us to their service style and guided us happily throughout- but so did each and every worker who approached our table! Every item seemed hand crafted and offered proudly. We left full and thrilled with our experience!

The food was absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic. Please bring cash to tip. The menu and the flavors are so thoughtful and the plating is wonderful. I went one night, and came back the very next night because it was some of the best food I had ever eaten in my life, and because the experience was so wonderful I wished I could just move on in! Make a reservation. Order everything you possibly can, or just go multiple days in a row! Thank you to the whole Kachka Family for blessing the world with your cuisine and your service!

Date night and Kachka to the rescue! Make sure to make reservations here; but do consider coming a bit early and sitting in the private lounge upstairs, complete with a small Soviet-themed store. You can also have a sip of wine if that is your thing, while you wait. Food here is in a portion that can be shared with your significant other or your guest and each meal is simply unmatched! The foodis given in small rounds and I advise to start with the cold cuts and soups first and then move on to the hearty dishes for the best experience. Delicious, gourmet, pickled and flavorful are words that come to mind when I think of the food. The Staff is kind, quick and knowledgeable, they are trained to be able to explain every European dish they offer. Although this place is always packed, it has a really good vibe and you will feel comfortable and joyful in your surroundings.

The experience was absolutely beyond any expectation! Every food item we ordered was made with love! The service was attentive and was respectful of any request or question we had. We were pleasantly surprised by the Horseradish vodka, a true revelation. Highly recommend to anyone!

Second time to Kachka - and looking forward to coming back! Not only unique options for the area, but both food and drinks were all high quality. Portland gem 💎.

As touted by the NYT, this is truly one of the BEST (and most “unique”) dining experiences in Portland. I visit Portland annually, and an evening at Kachka is always a highlight of the trip. Wonderful waitstaff will be pleased to help you order. Exquisite vodka, which is to be sipped and savored, not slugged. To find a finer meal or better vodka, one would have to travel to Musanze, Rwanda and experience The Kinigi Table at Virunga Mountain Spirits which makes its own vodka on the premises. (It was built and is operated by amazing Portlanders.)

Kachka is an amazing restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready with a suggestion. The drinks are expertly made and their vodka infusions are thoughtful and well executed. Finally the food was absolutely delicious and definitely made eith care. The salo was other worldly in its delicate flavor that just melted in your mouth. The herring in a fur coat tastes like homemade but executed with a nice restaurant flare. The pelmini and vareniki were tender and full of flavor. Their desserts were delightful and full of fresh flavor. The strawberries in the berries and cream dessert were perfectly sweet and played well with the airy creaminess of the smetana. I was in town for business and ended up here 2 nights in a row and seriously considering making it a third.

Overpriced, overhyped, poorly run establishment. More than 6 items were no longer available on the evening we dined. Server had to be reminded to check on ordered dishes and then she showed up at the bar drinking with a friend, never to return at the end of our meal to ask if we would like dessert or an after dinner drink. We can understand if the restaurant ran out of 1 or 2 items, but at least 6 is poor planning. Server burn out also indicates poor staffing solutions. Food was meh...overhyped.

Every time we go we try something new and have never been disappointed. The rabbit in a clay pot is a must-have, and the seasonal vegetable dishes are incredibly fresh. Love it every time!
