Just fantastic! For one reason or another we couldn't go there last time we were in Portland. But we made it happen this time and it was delicious, delightful and just all around great. I enjoy meals made up of many small plates for sharing and that's what we did. We threw some nice vodkas in the mix and were very happy with our experience. The service was very nice as well.

Food was excellent, went with 3 others so had plenty of different dishes. Service felt a bit rushed, food plates were picked up while we were still taking last bites off the plates. Server recommended we order one more main which we did, and it was very good but too much for our party. Tables are close together and it was quite loud even at 5:45 pm. Still, food was excellent with complex flavors and beautifully presented. Love the concept of paying staff living wages and not tipping.

Went for lunch service, which is just counter service and beware requires you walk up quite a steep flight of stairs. Everything on the menu was absolutely delicious and painstakingly crafted, but the portions are quite small. The ambience was charming and I can only imagine there is even more of a vibe at dinner service. I will definitely be back for dinner service and to try a vodka flight. The pork dumplings and the herring in a fur coat stole the show.

we enjoyed the dumplings with meat and sour cream the best. the cabbage rolls weren't as good as I remembered and the smoked sturgeon just fair. enjoyed the horseradish vodka and the service was helpful and friendly.

Our go-to place when we have guests in town or just when we want to have a fun night. The horseradish vodka is so freaking good and most all the food is fantastic. Their happy hour is great. The Baltic Sprat is one of my favorite bites in the city. We normally try to make it so we don't have to drive home, fair warning. You can always go sober up at the surrounding bars or coffee places.Vegetarian options: When we asked for vegan options for my mom, they specially marked up the menu for her and she had a delicious dinner.

Very popular restaurant so definitely want to make a reservation ahead of time. Not a cheap place to eat but definitely a good fine dining experience. Would definitely recommend the dumplings.
