Kafta house halal food

This was my first time in Portland and I had heard about the phenomenal food truck culture in the city. This one was my absolute favorite of them all!

Kafta house is a “Mom & Pop” owned food truck offering middle eastern/Mediterranean cuisine. The owners are very warm people and treat their customers like family who have come over for dinner.

I had the lamb gyros with fries. The lamb meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned tastefully, as were the fries. I’ve eaten many gyros in my life, but have to say this one was my favorite.

The cardamom chai was the perfect ending to a great meal. Thank you to the owners for the most memorable dining experience during my stay in Portland! I wish this food truck existed in the city where I live. I will stop by again if I come back to Portland.

I asked for a bathroom code, and he very generously gave it to me, as I reaaaaaaaally had to go!!

Decided this was the spot to eat. I got the Chicken Schwarma, and instantly went back for a second. About to try the beef gyro. Let’s see! The Chicken was amazing.

So good. Got the gyro combo and it was top to bottom delicious: Veggies so fresh, gyro so good, good amount of tzatziki and hummus. Generous portions of everything

Food was incredible. I asked the man what was the best thing on the menu, he recommended #12 the lamb gyro combo and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend this place if you like authentice Mediterranean cuisine.
