Unquestionably the best katsu curry I've ever had. I seriously had a Ratatouille moment eating this curry; making this their specialty was a brilliant move. The staff is friendly and the food arrives quickly (~5 minutes). The beef katsu curry with a Sapporo was exactly what I needed after a long hike.

This is almost a one-man show with the chef taking orders and preparing your Japanese Curry plate. To me his Curry is very meticulously prepared and the sauce is really mostly pureed stewed vegetables so you are getting a lot of vegetables instead of just a flavored gravy. Both the curry and the proteins on top seem almost in the health food category because he does not fry the katsu. It is still panko breaded but it is baked. This place came highly recommended and lived up to every bit of praise. The owner was very friendly and helped me choose what to get. He could see me struggling with a choice even though there are only a handful of options. I go the Doria with mixed cheese (cheddar and mozzarella). It was absolutely delicious. A great comfort meal on a cold rainy day. Will be back for more!
