My wife is lactose-intolerant and we visited here for the first time today. Hard to find coconut-based ice cream that doesn't taste like coconut, but this shop does it, and does it well! She enjoyed both the chocolate chip mint and the pistachio ice cream. Recommended!
Absolutely the best ice cream, vegan or ANY variety, on the planet—actually, the entire galaxy!! Unique and delicious flavors, we love Kate’s and will come back whenever we’re in Portland.
The BEST vegan and gluten free ice cream I have ever had!!! I’ve been gluten free and dairy free for over 15 years, and I am blown away by the selection of flavors at Kate’s and that everything is gluten free. I can finally have triple chocolate brownie ice cream again!! Even if you aren’t vegan or gluten free you will be pleasantly surprised. If you didn’t know it was GF and vegan you wouldn’t have no idea. Definitely worth a trip for this treat!
