Didn't seal the bag for delivery, ton of broth spilled out, bone cold once it got here.

The bag needs to be sealed for me to know it wasn't tampered with.

I'll be honest this place was not for me. Being a vegetarian I was not a huge fan of their vegetarian options. However, At least they had one. Also, everyone else (that eats meat) loves the food. So I will base my rating on their impression as well. It seems like they have good food well made that's authentic. The vegetarian option was very spicy and that made it difficult for me so if you love spice in your vegetarian diet you might love it.

I have tried ramen from different cities and this one by far has to be the worst! Idk how it has so many great reviews I guess Portland doesn’t know good ramen so they settle for this? The ramen i ordered was the most expensive one and it didn’t even came with an egg! Literally ground beef on broth with sprinkled spinach…..disgusting!

The ramen here is awesome. I try to have lunch here every day. If possible, I think that says a lot. Best ramen 10/10

If you are looking for authentic Japanese Raman flavor and broth you will be slightly disappointed. But JapaTaco is good!

The food is not good I just don’t get the reviews. It’s the worst ramen I’ve had in years but maybe I’m in the minority here.

Horrible! We came here to grab lunch, customer service was the worst, they had an issue with us requesting a high chair/having a baby with us. The lady at the counter was rude and honestly the high prices are not worth it. Rude rude staff

i got the garlic chili noodles and the orange mocktail and i really didn’t like it. the garlic chili noodles just tasted like bland noodles in chilli sauce and the drink was horrible. honestly couldn’t even stand to finish it, i took two bites and then left. it really felt like a waste of $30

I loved the vegan tantan with medium spice. Lots of flavor!!

Ramen was very good. Warmed us right up on a rainy day. Ordering at the counter is kind of a drag, but it is what it is.

Average counter service, nice looking place, probably the worst ramen I've had since moving to the PNW 5v years ago. The shio broth couldn't have been more bland. The chashu flavorless and overcooked. The soft boiled egg was ok but cost extra. The noodles were trash. I had to load it with condiments to get any flavor.

I wasn’t sure what I thought about my first few experiences here. I tried a few different ramens, mostly with bone broth.

But today I decided to try the vegan tan tan with tofu and oh mannnnn. Thats the one for me! I suddenly understand all the hype for Kayo’s.

I’ve eaten a lot of ramen in a lot of cities. Kayo’s is in the top 3 in Portland for me. I’m so glad I live a few mins away, cuz I am likely going to end up in here all the time.

This restaurant will adapt most ramens to make it vegan or vegetarian and they have great vegetarian options listed in the menu. Portland is good for that. Portland is known for its ramen because the water. (“Japanese chef Taichi Ishizuki chose Portland, Oregon to open the first US location of his restaurant because of the city's water quality.” Kayo’s ramen doesn’t taste strongly of seaweed (a must for me), and has wonderful ramens with a Portland twist. I love the Tan Tan, but the pineapple ginger, and the curry ramens were also excellent. I haven’t had anything here I didn’t like.
