Always have to make a stop at Kell’s! Love this place. Good atmosphere and good food!
Kells is a Portland institution, and a great place to hang out with friends and have an Irish beverage.
Had such a fun time here. We just randomly walked in there and turned out Music was amazinggg, had the Irish stew(yummmy) and some drink I forgot the name but was also deliciousss. Def going back. Irish ppl r the best.
Great cigar bar in the basement for out group of friends
Classic pub style. Food drinks etc
The lady at the hotel recommended this place when I showed up at 9:30 they said unfortunately we're closed. But they didn't close to ten. I think the guy was just being a jackass. I give you a one star for not accommodating us on our vacation
Long time Portland Irish pub with a significant whiskey selection. Gets loud and rowdy at night though. Best to go for lunch. Parking can be challenging. I prefer Horse Brass or the Highland Stillhouse. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars. -VanPort Insider
Great atmosphere. Owner took the time to set up karaoke for our team and turned our night around! 10/10

This Kell's location was a decent place to grab a drink while killing time for an event nearby. My cocktail was only okay, but service was quick.

Took my daughter out for her 21st birthday last night and this bar was one of our stops and our FAVORITE of the night. The service was fast & friendly, the atmosphere was fun, and they went above and beyond to make her feel special. 10/10 recommend 👌 👏

Visited with friends prior to a concert at Providence park. Mid-week, around 5pm. The atmosphere is great, and on theme. The food, however...
Ordered the pub pretzels and cheese, and the lamb stew. The pretzels were decent, but the "cheese" lacked flavor and texture. It seemed more like the cheese ran out, and someone added water to stretch it. Bland, and runny.
Same with the lamb stew. Should've been called "mushy veggie soup with rosemary and bland meat." Literally no texture or nice mouth-feel to the soup. Watery. The meat tasted like it was braised in water, and added to the mush-veggie water upon serving. Almost seemed cold. I've had amazing lamb stew at other establishments, and this was so far from familiar, or good.
Not sure if our visit was a fluke, but I definitely wouldn't recommend. I expected more from an Irish pub with a decent reputation.
Even the beer I had ordered tasted like dirty dish water or unclean tap lines, and it was flat.
Disappointed. Dissatisfied.
