I wanted to like this place because I had heard good things from friends. The pricing is unreasonable for the product. I simply can't justify $18 for a bagel sandwich which is just as good as the $7 fare I used to get at my old haunt. The service is friendly enough. I guess if you have the extra scratch it works in a pinch.

Too expensive. I paid $12.90 for 2 sesame bagels with schmear and they were only okay. Plus, the was a piece of plastic in one of my bagels. Wouldn't be worth it for half the price.

Was looking forward to the pastrami on rye. After ordering I was told they had no rye bread. Was very disappointed. So I got it on Ciabatta. Was not a good choice. Will not be back.

Very expensive. Staff not very friendly or welcoming. Left disappointed and somehow nearly 50 bucks lighter.

I’ve eaten more bagels at Kenny’s than I care to admit. For most of the past ten years they have been my favorite. Still a great bagel with sometimes regrettable service, come on Kenny I’m rooting for you!

The food was just okay. I would give 3 stars at least if it wasn’t for the customer service. Though staff was friendly, they were very inattentive, and hanging out with friends who were present. At times would take a while before acknowledging that someone walked in simply because they were too busy chatting away with friends at the tables. One of them even had the audacity to say they were mad that it was busy when they were helping two people. That’s not busy, that’s just upset that they can’t hangout with their friends. There needs to be some sort of management here to ensure staff is on task and tentative to customers.

They moved and haven't updated go to their website for address! Maybe also have it at the caption on top of your actual website and not just at the bottom of your website page.

their day-old bagels fuel my everyday breakfast needs. the lox shmear is best in the city.

Pastrami on Rye? More like Pastrami on white with food coloring. Very bland flavorless bread with no texture. The sodas were barely cool, lept in an open case with marginal refrigeration. The chips served w/ the sandwich were also flavorless.

WELL!! Finally got to the relocated Kenny & Zuke’s, for lunch Friday, anticipating a thin-sliced, stacked high pastrami sandwich on rye bread. Ordered “two pastrami sandwiches” at the counter (no table service). Soon presented with a delicious but thick sliced (1/2-in) serving of pastrami on top of a bagel (on a paper plate) . No “sandwich”. I explained what I was expecting when I ordered a pastrami sandwich was pastrami between two pieces of rye bread. “Oh, we don’t have ANY bread”. I asked for another bagel to make our “sandwiches”, which was promptly and cheerfully delivered, but the bagel/pastrami ratio was too much bagel, and much “chewier” than a slice of rye bread. Because the pastrami was really delicious, we soldiered on, but won’t return. Kenny & Zuke’s DELI has been replaced by Kenny & Zuke’s Bagelworks. Judging by the fact that in the time we were there (1:30-2:10 Friday), there was only one other customer, it may not be open too much longer. In addition, we bought two “everything” bagels to go, as that is my wife’s favorite style of NY bagel (garlic and lots of sesame and poppy seeds) but it turned to be too dense, short on sesame seeds with burned garlic).

Bagels are the same but online ordering and the packaging for fish and cream cheese have really taken a hit since the move.

You used to be able to get a pound of cream cheese or lox in a single package, and they only used paper for the lox before, the new system is too wasteful.

I love a good bagel and lox and this place does not disappoint. I order the lox smear because it’s more affordable than the lox sandwich and the right amount of food. Bonus is heated patio that is actually warm. Best spot in town for lunch and breakfast dog dinning in winter.

A Portland classic and the best rueben sandwich I've ever had!
