I feel like I’ve known Ken for years even though I’ve never met him. I became obsessed with pizza and bread making years ago and Ken’s books were given to me as a gift as I started out. To finally eat at his bakery was amazing. Very fun to eat the recipes in the book (as well as lots of amazing pastries). Definitely recommend a visit if you’re in town.
Maybe it’s being 7 months pregnant, but the Ken’s Hero sandwich and chocolate chip cookie I had today were seriously amazing. So delicious! Definitely coming back here ASAP for the exact same order!

We had the almond croissants and a special Danish pastry with blueberries and another with strawberries – everything was absolutely delicious. For my return flight, I picked up a bacon quiche, which turned out to be excellent as well. I’ll definitely stop by again the next time I’m in Portland!
