I think this may literally be the best pizza I have ever had and I love pizza. Get here early to get in line before they open, but you should definitely check it out if you are looking for great pizza.

The wait on a Friday night for a table or a to go pizza is insane. Make a reservation or go early. Street parking on the weekend is also a bear. In complete fairness, the pizzas look amazing, but I had no desire to wait 1 hour for a table or to go order.

The food is delicious. We went on a Saturday at 6pm and we had an hour wait for a party of 4. We tried a peach pizza(forgot to take a picture of the menu), a fennel sausage and onion pizza without peppers, and the new Yorker with pepperoni. I would say the fennel sausage pizza was the all around favorite. The peach pizza was a surprising hit that everyone at the table enjoyed. 2 of the dinners thought the new Yorker with pepperoni was very salty. The crust by itself is very delicious which is usually what I decide makes or breaks a pizza place. Also the sauce was the perfect mixture with a little bit of spice.

People here are desperate for a table. Be aware before you decide to eat that the wait may be long. The waiters never rushed us out which we appreciated. They were very accommodating to our needs and let us wait inside at a table by the bar.

This place is expensive for the size of the pizza you get and it's always extremely busy with long wait times. Those all being said, Kens is extremely worth it. I've never had better pizza. I'm not made of money so this is definitely a splurge for special occasions but you're in for an absolutely next-level experience.

Wow, I thought I was in Tuscany the wood-fired pizza was so good. Had the Caesar’s to open, very unique. Zero Proof “Ken’s Classic” is winner.

Delicious food!!! Great pizza, great appetizers. We showed up to the restaurant at 6:30 on a Friday night, and it was PACKED-people waiting out the door. We ended up waiting around 75 minutes to seat 3 people but the restaurant provides a nice waiting area for guests where you can order drinks. Good beer () and a strong Manhattan (4.5/5).

The food? Fantastic. The Market Salad was one of the best salads I ever had (and I'm not a big salad girl!) The cherry tomatoes were super ripe and sweet and the grilled shallots added a lot to the flavor. There is huge variety in the ingredients and it was so yummy. The meatball and calamari starters were super delicious as well. The calamari was doused in tomato sauce with the perfect blend of spice, lemon, and tang. The meatballs were a little salty, but they disappeared quite fast as well. The prosciutto pizza was perfect, I couldn't get a proper picture because we dug in so fast.

The waiters were super friendly and the restaurant offered us a 10% veteran discount. However the table we were seated at was under the air conditioning and it did end up dripping quite a bit on us. They tried fixing it by turning off the AC, but overall it wasn't too disruptive to our dinner experience.

I would definitely return to this pizza joint, but maybe with a reservation.

We were in Portland last night doing some sightseeing and wanted some pizza. We are from CT which is famous for pizza. My wife looked online and found Ken’s. We waited in line for it to open. It was sooo good. I had the hot honey pizza. Tasty and crunchy. We all loved the pizza and ambiance.

It's sad when a legendary place begins to make the slow slide into the unremarkable category. Every pizza that came out, including ours, had seriously burnt crust. Not the toasty around the edges common with wood fired pizza, but full blown burnt toast. Beyond that, service was at the level of abandonment. We struggled to place our order and had to flag multiple people to just to pay the bill. Our friendly, unhelpful young server could be seen seeking refuge from real work behind the counter, slowly doing tasks for extended periods. It's just sad. Ken's was legend, but no more. I imagine Ken was the heart, soul, and genius behind what made Ken's remarkable, and when he retired it all just started to slide. It will chug along, riding on its reputation until some undiscovered gem, like the original Ken's—with Ken at the helm, begins to get the recognition it deserves.

My primary concern was the hygiene standards. I noticed a staff member cleaning his nails over the pizza counter and another not washing his hands after cleaning the dirty bar table and proceeded to make our drinks. Such practices can be off-putting and raise concerns about food safety. Though the food wasn’t to my taste, it's hard to determine if that was due to the food itself or my observations impacting my perception. Proper hygiene protocols are essential for any food establishment. On a brighter note, the service from our waitress was outstanding. She truly offered a five-star experience, and due to her exceptional service, I tipped generously. However, for Ken’s Artisan Bakery, no matter how delicious the pizza or exemplary the service, maintaining cleanliness is crucial.

One of if not the best pizzas in the country (and not just my view). Great garden salad of local organic produce.

Annoying stand in line at opening time because there are no reservations. Still, worth the wait.

Was looking forward to eating here for a while and it lived up to the hype. One of my favorite pizza experiences ever.
