Me and my wife hav been eating here a couple of times a year , since 1992 . We fell in love with the food , the live music and the friendly staff !! We look forward to every visit we make !! I was said to see it completely fenced off this week ?!?! I know COVID has hit a lot of restaurants hard ,La Carreta included . I sincerely hope this closure isn’t permanent !!
We love this place as the neighborhood staple it is and we believe it is family owned. They serve mostly what you would find in any typical Mexican restaurant in the U.S. EXCEPT that they offer roasted veggies in place of meat in many of their dishes. The veggies aren't just onions and peppers, either, and the combination of summer squash, zucchini, onions, and peppers is so tasty in lieu of meat. The service and pricing are average for our area. My family has been doing to La Carreta as long as I can remember. They never disappoint. I am especially fond of the Cadillac margaritas and shrimp fajitas. This is our go-to Mexican spot!
