A friend suggested this restaurant for an authentic Mexican Food experience. 🤩 The food was fresh and flavorful; they used high-quality ingredients. The restaurant had such a cool vibe, and the service was excellent. Plus, the drinks were amazing – definitely try the margaritas! 🍹
Do not get the nachos they do not put any cheese on them or layer literally the worst nachos I have ever had. I had to take it home to try and salvage them
Little expensive for what it is and isn't gonna blow you're mind, but it's absolutely above average.
❤️Empanadas ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

People need to be trained again. Very unprofessional
It was my first time in the city and it was such a good experience. The service was 10 out of 10 The food was 10 out and of 10. Highly recommend. For sure coming back.
La Cocina is a wonderful restaurant has the most delicious and comfort food that will make you happy!
But… their service is not, our server was Alma but really had not soul! Forgot to put half of our order and completely forgot about us!
On this place I feel like in my mom's kitchen, really good and authentic mexican cuisine, super nice people
Everything was so good! I'm a big fan of Mexican food and I was so impressed. The seafood enchilada with cream sauce was literally the best thing I've had anywhere in months and would be at home at a fancy expensive restaurant.
Good food, pleasant surroundings.
The food was awesome had The Alambra and carne asada. Would highly recommend The food drinks were good as well.

Every dish is a banger. The vibes can be nice and intimate.
Been here multiple times, some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in Portland, some of the worst service I’ve had in Portland. If you’ve got time to wait an hour for a burrito in an empty restaurant while they prioritize delivery orders I highly recommend
We are lucky this place is so close by. Delicious food. Everything we have tried has been great. I highly recommend any mole dish.
I used to love this place! I’m so sad. I’ve taken friends there many times, and ordering their chicken tortilla soup and posole rojo online had become a favorite treat after a long day of work. However, last time I ordered a chicken tortilla soup, they apparently reduced the serving size & stopped including avocado, which they’d always included before. I checked the menu to make sure I’m not crazy; older menus state the soups served with avocado, but it’s been removed recently. Today I figured I’d give the posole rojo a shot, but despite the menu still clearly stating it comes with cheese and sour cream, both were missing from my order. The fried tortilla also tasted kinda weird and stale. I’m bummed that the quality seems to have diminished recently :( Probably not gonna order from this spot anymore.
This was our first time here, and we're already making plans to come back. The service was both friendly and good, and the place, including the washroom, was clean. We had guacamole and chips, an order of tacos and taquitos. There was plenty of food, and it was excellent. The ambiance is great, and the decorations are superb. We loved it.
