So far this is the best Mexican food cart I've found downtown (and I've tried a lot of them)! Everything is well seasoned and flavorful. Heck yes it is a little greasy, that's all the delicious goodness which makes it so tasty! No one wants a dry burrito! And the burritos are massive. I've only ordered the basic asada burrito so far but will be back to try other things. Service is friendly and pretty quick. Plus the new beer garden setup makes it a great spot to hang out while you wait for your food.

I order brunch at least 2-3 times a week from La Jarochita. Have yet to try more off the menu (yet) because I cannot get enough of their breakfast burritos but flavor, portions and price is unmatched. Have never had a bad experience with this place, don’t walk run it’s rare to find places like this anymore in Portland.

DAYAAMN! Now THAT! IS A BURRITO! Been trying out different food places around town since arriving from SO California. As a Latina I am very particular about my food. Especially the art of the burrito. Hunt over! He even called me to offer a replacement for the tamales we ordered since it was close to closing and they were out. He took time to make sure he had our order correct before preparing. Best burrito I've had here. Looks and tastes, just like moms. Way to go La Jarochita! Can't wait try those tamales.

I ordered a shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were raw, the cocktail had a lot of cilantro that looked like only cilantro broth and the worst thing was that the cookies that they gave me to accompany the cocktail were very stale and had a very bitter taste, I had to throw them away, it really is The worst shrimp cocktail I have ever eaten, I do not recommend eating there.
